My LO does but the district her preschool is within (weird I know) does not. She goes to preschool in the districts elementary building but it's a separate program. Most schools around here actually have school today.

Nope. Today and President's day are sacred in this household because school is open but Mommy's work is closed. Today I will do some house organization, get my hair done, and take a nap.

DD1's preschool follows the public school schedule for the county they are in - so she has the day off. DD2 still has ballet today, which surprised me.

Ugh, yes they're closed AND my sitter cancelled on me 45 minutes before she was supposed to be here. DH has to work, so its me and the baby and the toddler inside today (its cold outside).

Our LO's preschool follows the public school schedule, but decided to open today. We've had 8 snow days this year, and I think they felt pressure from the parents to open today.

@Bao: LOs daycare is open today but I am off. They rotate MLK and Presidents' Day off year to year. I didn't send her bc daycare is near my work and a 35 minute drive away. I am currently regretting this as she is not going down for her nap and I needed to get some work done today!

No school in the district, but he doesn't have school today anyway. Half his therapies are off, so I scheduled his annual ped appointment in place of one to make life easier on me later!

Everyone was off in my household. I kind of wish I could work some of these random holidays though to bank extra time for the inevitable sick days that are coming....
