I don't mean swaddled, but does your LO actually sleep with a blanket covering them? If so, how old are they?

Occasionally...usually when I don't want to wrestle her into a sleep sack after she has dozed off. She is almost 8 months old!

Our babes sleep swaddled in an a&a blanket with a crochet blanket covering them and kind of bolstering their sides and feet. They are still pretty new though - 3.5 weeks old.

@LAGS: That is what I did, but we stopped swaddling really early. Now I just cover her with her favorite blanket. She likes to rub it on her face.

We started DD (28m) sleeping with a blanket around 12m when she got too long for the sleep sacks. She currently sleeps in a twin bed and we just us the flat sheet, although most night she ends up sleeping on top of it.

he's only a month but nope he doesnt, i just dress him in sleepers or swaddlers or a sleep sack. im parnoid about him sufficating himself with a blanket, i admit im a little over the top with ti though

Yup, she never took to sleeping with a sack so we use a blanket. With cold weather coming I'm going to try a fleece sack since I bought one before she was born. But I think it might be too warm for her.

yes, my baby will be 4 months old in 5 days and sleeps with aden and anais blanket. She sleeps on her belly and then I cover her with the blanket. her crib is right next to my bed though so she is always within arms reach from me

LO doesn't really use one over himself but he'll either cover his face and/or hold his blanket

She's almost 13 months and no blankets, just the sleep sack.

@Mrsbells: my DD is a tummy sleeper too. When I decided to switch her she went from sleeping only 3 or 4 hours at a time to 7!

@Mrsdaredevil: yes that was the same with us, before we put her on her belly she wouldnt even sleep for an hour now she can sleep all through the night

Oh yeah, she loves her blanket! As soon as we put her in her crib, we give it to her and she smiles, rubs it on her face and then rolls on her side to cuddle with it.

I have a belly sleeper so I started with a blanket earlier since there wasn't a way for her to pull it up over her face. She was probably about 6 months.

Not to be an alarmist, but last wk someone I know, his GF's nephew was 5 months old and napping with a blanket, it got twisted around his neck & he died so tragic. I think now I'll always be wary of blankets in cribs! But I also know plenty of LOs who wouldn't sleep without one

LO sleeps in a Halo sack and then has a light blanket on top of her. I tuck the blanket into the sides of the co-sleeper so it's semi taught, and it's always in the exact same location as when she falls asleep. LO is 9 weeks, and has always slept with a blanket since day 1.
