Does your LO talk as much at daycare? How old are they?

My son is 18 months and I think he learned all his words at daycare (he has maybe 30?) he babbles/chatters non stop at home and at daycare from what they tell me. Some words are recognisable/make sense in context when he babbles, some don't.

Honestly, I have no idea. I know she says things there but I really don't know how to compare it to what she says at home...when she first started talking, they would write the words she said each day on her daily sheet, but I assume it gets too hard to do that once the kids start talking more. I do know that she says new words at home all the time and I assume she learned them at daycare, but I don't know if she also says them there. Unless her teachers expressed concern, I don't think I'd ever really give a second thought. She is 21 months.

yeah, her teachers told us that she is the most talkative in the class.... no surprise as that's what my mom heard for both me and my siblings from all our teachers! she's been in class for 6 months and is 2.75 years.

According to the DCP she talks nonstop like she does as home. I wouldn't have known that without asking though. Until recently she was nearly silent at pickup.

DD, I'm not sure. She's almost 22 months but just hit her language explosion at 20 months. DS is 4.5 and talks non stop!

DD didn't - she was a late talker though - but even after she started talking at home she was super quiet at dcp
Teachers would always ask if she ever talked - lol- she was closer to 3 when she finally opened up! Now she is a chatter box at 4.5

DD didn't at first (was talking at home), they would ask if she talked at home. Now, after 6+ months there she is a chatter box. I think she just had to adjust

I don't think so, no..... She's a total chatterbox and they're always commenting about how good her speech is but then they say "She said x,y,z today! Amazing!" and it will be something she's been saying at home for months. So I think she talks much less there than at home.

Mine is almost 3 and she doesn't stop talking...ever. Our daycare lady laughs at how she will tell story after story after story, and then comes home and repeats the same ones to us.

When my son was in daycare, he was the kid that you heard, through the closed doors when you walked into the building.
I wouldn't classify him as extremely outgoing, to be honest, he just likes to hear the sound of his own voice I think.
