DD will make requests a few times a week. Glad she can communicate and tell me what she wants to eat now! No need to worry that she won't have anything to eat at school.

Mine asks for a cheese sandwich every day (which she does not get haha). But I do let her have the snack she wants packed for snack time .

@T-Mom: haha!! Awww, DH said that his mom packed him a cheese sandwich every day when he was a kid. LOL!

@Andrea: I'm sad to say that there was a time that she got them frequently but we've changed our eating habits since then. But it was the easiest thing ever! And DH was a lot more willing to pack lunch back then too...
ETA: omg i just asked her what she wants for lunch and she said cheese sandwich. Turns out that's what DH gave her today (I am out of commission due to stomach flu). What can you do...

Oh yes. Mama I want 7 pretzels, 4 raspberries, sunflower butter and jelly sandwich cut into the shape of a shark, and goldfish crackers.
A little less specificity would be nice sometimes, but this girl knows her mind!

@Andrea: until it happens to you!
Mama, I said 7 pretzels! 7, not 6! Ugh!

@Andrea: everything is precise. Which spoon goes in, where the napkin goes. How it is arranged, which rice I use to make rice balls etc etc. this kid really knows what she wants (. Which is so much better than the way I was "I dunno, I dunno" throughout my whole teenage hood), but our whole day starts off with a meltdown if she doesn't get the exact food choices she wants.
I do love it. I don't want to be seen as complaining, but we did create a little (adorable) monster!

@mrs.jacks That's awesome precision! I wonder what she would do if she discovered she had 6 rather than 7 raspberries at lunch!
We don't pack lunches because they are provided but my husband usually asks her what she wants. She often changes her mind a few times or wants 'the works' if she's super hungry. I don't usually ask because I want to make what I feel like making.

@Mrs. Jacks: Um, that is pretty adorable. I totally see my daughter headed that direction too.
