Last week we took off two days for Rosh Hashanah, then this week we took off a day for Yom Kippur!
This year is the first year the NYC public schools are taking off for Eid, so that holiday is tomorrow too. That's four days in 2 weeks... seems crazy to me, but September is a nightmare for us every year as a result.
Does your school take Jewish and/or other religious holidays off?

No, the 2 private schools we use do not, but I know all the public schools here are closed for them!

Nope. But I get it for public schools. While I understand it's super tough for working parents.... I figure it's really not fair if the Christian kids and their families dont have to choose between missing school and celebrating holidays but everyone else does.
