Are they worth it? I want a thicker blanket than a swaddle, but still airy.
Also, I know they usually run about $50 but why are the Gap ones so expensive ($89)? Is it just because they're exclusive to Gap or a special print?
Are these anything like Tula blankets and that whole craze-- limited availability and resale value etc (which I'm not into)?

You are talking about AA Dream Blankets, right? Each of my LOs has one and we really like them! They are so soft and have held up extremely well in the wash (my son's is almost 5 years old and he still sleeps with it). I never had problems getting the prints I wanted. I also didn't buy them with an intention to resell, so I have no idea about that.

@mauxie: I know I got at least one of them 25% off with a code for signing up for a website. But that was a few years ago. I'm sure there are deals to be found!

We just got one for my 15 month old and he LOVES it! He'd just been in sleep sacks before and has done great with the dream blanket. It's breathable but also very cozy. I actually ordered mine from Jet because they had a 15% promo code and it was less than $35 after the promo -

I got one from gilt when they had an extra 30% off promo before Christmas. I do really like it, it's a nice weight and really soft. I would not pay $89 for it, for sure, but I think I pod something like $25.

We also got them for both of the girls from Gilt before Christmas. I personally think it's too big for my 16 month old (it's bigger than her crib), but my tall 4.5 year old will sleep with it. It's currently at her school for her 'rest' blanket.

I bought one for my 19 month old, and I love it. I couldn't find another blanket that was similar in size and weight, so I just bought the dream blanket. I'll be getting one for a friend's LO. I also bought ours on sale.

The $89 ones at Gap are the organic ones, so non Gap prints usually run about $60. I got one on sale with a 40% off code for $41 a few weeks ago.
My LO is obsessed with hers and it's the perfect weight for AC nights and warmer winters her in TX. I just bought a second one for LO2 because I found a really great deal, though he won't be sleeping with a blanket until this winter.

It's weird because the gap one is $89 but on the box, it says $59.99 (I think... Can't remember the exact amount). I ended up returning it because I didn't like the colors IRL. I'm waiting for another 40% code without exclusions to try a different pattern.

Got a dream blanket gift box at TJ Maxx for $39 or $49 before LO was born in November- we love it (and all of our A&A blankets) but probably wouldn't have paid full price.

We have one, but I'm not super impressed with it. DS uses it as his daycare blanket and it gets washed every couple weeks. Over time the fabric has lost some of its softness and gotten kinda pilly. I'm not sure what to do to make it softer.

We got the bebe au lait because it is larger and seems to be better quality. Love it. I'm really impressed with the quality, and she will be able to use it throughout toddlerhood because of the large size.

We love ours. LO uses it every night in bed. It's warmer than the swaddle blankets but LO runs warm so it's still pretty cool and airy compared comforters or quilts.
