Is it horrible to consider getting scheduled for a c-section on or near (past) your due date if you haven't gone into labor yet? I never thought, in a million years, that I would ever ask that question but....

We have plans set up for my maternity leave and for my Mom to come sit for a month after I go back to work. If BGH (baby girl H) comes on time, this will all work out. If she is two weeks late, we lose Mom for about 2 weeks of that precious early time when she will have to be in daycare.

Did anyone else consider planning a c-section if you didn't go into labor on your due date? Do doctors allow that? In my case, the only way I would consider it would be if the baby was ready to come out but my body wasn't ready to go into labor yet.
