During the first 3 months or so of starting solids, what did you primarily feed your baby?
I'm sure most of us do a mix, but what was the main thing? Making multiple options for people with more than one LO.

I made purees for her. Joke's on me now, cause she doesn't want anything to do with them. I've got a freezer full.

We mostly do BLW, but I prepared special food for her (steamed plain veg, etc), not just whatever we were eating, like the book sort of implies. Now that she is almost 10 months I'm getting away from making her separate things as much. When we are out and about I find pouches to be the easiest, but it seems like they would get expensive if you were doing them all the time.

Gerber in plastic containers. No jars are allowed at day care.

We did a mix....started with chunks of simple food (avocado, banana, sweet potato, etc), did purees for about a month, and then switched to giving her whatever we were eating in chunks.

@Foodnerd81: I didn't vote because multiple options isn't available!
For the first month and half we fed her homemade purees. Then we started doing BLW of what we ate.

BLW mostly food specially prepared for LO, sometimes pieces of what we were eating if it worked.

mostly homemade purees and then had some store bought pouches on hand.

Homemade, which really means I took easy foods and smashed them up -- banana, pear, avocado, etc. I attempted BLW today with sweet potatoes, and it's something I was planning on roasting anyways for DS1. I just made them BLW friendly.

Probably 60% homemade purees and 30% BLW with specially prepared food, 10% food from our plates. And pouches when we are out (I think she's had 3 so far).

Same as @yin: I picked easy mashable foods most of the time. Occasionally I bought the Gerber tubs of foods for when we went out to dinner or had something too spicy for baby, but mostly some of whatever we ate.

We did glass jar purees for lunch and did chunky foods for breakfast. Usually it was some toast or bread to munch on. He also got some millet pops in the afternoon.

We did baby food in plastic containers for about a month or two since he wasn't fully interested in eating with us then I started giving him lil bits of our food when we ate and purees went out the door. He didn't want anything to do with purees once he had a bite of "real food"!

Mostly BLW, chunks of what we were eating.
A few specifically prepared chunks for her and a pouch here and there.

We do about 50/50 homemade puréed or mashed up/organic jars.

We tried BLW, but LO wasn't into it so we mostly did soft foods that I could mash up at home like banana, avocado, canned pumpkin, steamed veggies and applesauce. I mixed it with breast milk at first to get him used to it and thin it out.
