Once you returned to work, what did you and SO do about nighttime wakings? Did you continue to get up and nurse? Did you have SO give a bottle for one or more wakings? And if the latter, did you get up and pump, or just sleep?

I'm currently handling all aspects of nighttime wakings as I'm still on maternity leave. LO is 8 weeks and waking 2, sometimes 3 times/night. He's in the rock n play on my side of the bed so he always wakes me first. I unswaddle him, nurse in one side, then since I'm up anyway, take him to his room where I change him and reswaddle him, nurse him on the other side back in bed, and put him down, usually already asleep.

DH's work schedule though is a bit more flexible than mine. He often works from home or later in the day/nights. Daycare is also near my work, so I'd be the one to bring LO there in the morning, hence having to get up around 5:30/6 to work an 8-5 schedule.

Therefore I'd love a more fair division of duty. DH is up for it but I just want something that makes sense and doesn't shaft either of us.

What's your routine?

ETA These night feedings typically take an hour because he's so sleepy and is a lazy nurser. So that's kind of a killer too, especially once I return to work.
