I just read an article and was surprised by this line: "Increased estrogen levels decrease the opportunity for eggs to implant, thereby leading to a decreased chance of pregnancy and birth."
Soo...that made me think of my last IUI cycle where they had me on estrogen suppositories from O-3 to O to thicken my lining. Then, after the IUI, they had me stay on the estrogen during the entire TWW.
I'm not freaking out -- my RE's office is awesome and I trust them -- but I'm just confused. Does higher levels of estrogen really prevent implantation, or is there more to that story? Has anyone else taken estrogen suppositories during the TWW? Can anyone help me reconcile these two seemingly contradictory ideas?
