So, we're NTNP/waiting to try with a bit more emphasis on the latter. However, I've not been paying attention to myself or e calendar very well and may have DTD during my fertile window. What is the timing of EWCM and O'ing? Does one come before the other? At the same time? I've never charted, and the last time I read about this stuff was over two years ago, so I don't remember.

I think usually at the most EWCM starts maybe 1-2 days befor and day of O. Don't quote me.

I have no idea. I had tons of ewcm and then got my positive opk the next day, and two days after that still I had a positive, but then dried up. Who knows!

The one and only time I had undeniable EWCM (the month I got a
)it was 1-2 days before. Usually the frequent BD-ing obscured it too much to tell.

As somebody who charted 18 months to prevent and then charted to get pregnant, I can answer this one!
EWCM occurs before ovulation. Think of it as the slip'n'slide that moves the egg along. Once you have EWCM, you are in your fertile window. If you've been BD-ing right before, remember that semen is watery while EWCM is a little more solid/stretchy. For the majority of women, it last 2-6 days.

@BabyBoecksMom: Didn't quite say that, but the school of thought that says you can improve your odds of gender choice say that if you want a girl, BD a day before ovulation because XX sperm (female) live longer, and for a boy BD on the day of ovulation or day after because XY (boy) sperm don't live as long. Some research supports this, other doesn't.
