DD1 was 18 months when DD2 was born and I was dressing about this. She too was BF until I weaned around 12 weeks pregnant and she transitioned to WCM. We didn't get any books about it (great suggestion @skadi), but we did talk about it a lot. She had a "big sister" book that we read constantly and each time we did we would talk about the baby after finishing the book. One thing I always made sure to mention was that the baby would be drinking mamas milk and that LO had "LO's" milk and it was special just like her. Sounds silly but she really took to that and her face always lit up. Fast forward to baby being here, and while DD1 still pulls my shirt, she always says "mamas milk for baby sister", so I know she gets it. I always make a point to give her her milk sippy cup while I'm nursing and we sit on the couch so the girls can drink their milk together. She's done really well which completely surprised me!

My LO was still nursing too during the beginning part of my pregnancy so she knew what it was. I think one of the explanations that she took to most is baby doesn't have any teeth so needs mama's milk, even though she had teeth and still nursed. We talked about it a lot though.
She was a little jealous of mama's attention to baby for the first couple week, she liked baby though. She accepted me interacting with baby though bc we'd talked about it so much. What we hadn't talked about as much was papa holding baby, so for the first couple weeks she'd cry if she saw my husband holding the baby.

We never talked about it but she was 15ish months when the baby was born. She thinks it is totally normal to nurse a baby.
