With DS1 I went cheap on nursing bras and regretted it the whole time. I'd like to get some new nice ones this time around. Anyone have any recommendations? I prefer something structured (not like coobie/bravado silk) and probably underwire. Bonus points if it's in store where I can try it on or at least free shipping & returns. Thanks!

If you have a Nordstrom near you, they will alter regular bras into a nursing bra! I highly recommend shopping there and then just having your favorites altered.

My favorite nursing bra was an underwire one by Cake. So comfortable. I got it from Nordstrom (after being fitted there).

The only nursing bra I wear (I own three of them) is the Bravado Body Silk Seamless nursing bra. I bought it from Nordstrom. I love it. No underwire, but plenty of support.

I wore Freya Pure underwire spacer bras every day while nursing. I was also fitted at Nordstrom while looking for a Cake bra, but they don't make my band size
The Freya wasn't super flattering, but it was comfy enough and I never had any clogged ducts from the underwire. In retrospect, the Freya underwire was probably too wide for my shape so I will most likely opt for alterations on a regular bra in the future. I've read that it costs around $10-15.

I was fitted at Nordsroms. The only think they had in my size was Anita, but I was pretty happy with it. I never had issues with underwire.

@JennyPenny: I wouldnt do underwire if you are nursing but thats just me. I had a bad experience with underwire and clogged ducts.

I also had luck having a normal bra converted. A local lingerie store charged between $5 and $10 for it.

Soma was my favorite. I bought my regular size. It was underwire which I prefer and I had no issues. Breastfed for 6 months with no clogged ducts or mastitis (probably luck but still).

I got nursing bras from Soma. They were great! They have underwire but I didn't have any issues with that.

Le Mystere's Sexy Mama underwire is my favorite bra period (including non-nursing). They're stupid expensive, but, they're on Zulily pretty regularly.
