    @MrsCB: FYI the FRER's I used were Target brand and I think like $10 for a 3 pack? Either $9 or $11 I can't remember

    @MrsCB: =( i'm sorry, maybe in the morning it'll be better

    @MrsTiz: that stinks! are you sure that you've Oed already? maybe you're late Oing this month and that throw off AF's arrival

  11. ShootingStar

    coconut / 8472 posts

    @MrsTiz: Oh boy, that's gotta be so frustrating. I've had some really long cycles too. I think you should call your doctor and have them get you in for a blood test. That way they can see if you ovulated. If you didn't they could give you progesterone to bring on a period. If you did, maybe it was later than you thought it was?

    @MrsTiz: Oh no.

  13. MrsTiz

    cantaloupe / 6800 posts

    @mrs. bird: My only way of knowing is from a period tracker app, but i've always had 28-29 day cycles. By that calculation, i'm late!

    @SweetMamaM: @MrsCB: How long would you wait to do that?

  14. ShootingStar

    coconut / 8472 posts

    @MrsTiz: I'd call today. You've got to be at around a 40 day cycle now I'm guessing? Thats plenty long to wait, imo. I'd call your gyn and tell them how long your cycle is.

  15. MrsTiz

    cantaloupe / 6800 posts

    @MrsCB: My last period started January 1st & is my first one since a miscarriage in October. So call?

  16. SweetMamaM

    pear / 1743 posts

    @MrsTiz: yeah, I'd call. The worst that they are going to do is note it on your file and tell you to just wait and see but then at least it's on record. I had a 75 day cycle last time and there is no way I will wait that long again before seeking medical advice.

  17. ShootingStar

    coconut / 8472 posts

    @MrsTiz: If it was me, I would call. I'm guessing you either didn't ovulate yet, or ovulated late. They can do a simple blood test and figure out which one it was. That'll give you a better idea of whether you should keep waiting out this cycle, or if you should start provera to induce a period.

    Well I tested today like an idiot and got a bfn. It might be too early, but like people on here said maybe I didn't even ovulate. Just feeling really frustrated and done with TTc. Sorry I'm being negative. We are starting the fostering process next month so that should be good. Good luck to everyone else!

    @MrsCB: I don't know anything about triggers.... but that test looked so positive! Sorry the frer was negative!!

    @MrsTiz: I'd probably call too... but you're not really having that long of a cycle for it being your first since your m/c. Sorry you're going through this.

    @anonysquire: You're not being negative... I have no idea the frustration you must be feeling. :(( I plan on fostering too!!

    @MrsTiz: Totally lurking, but I wanted to say, the my first cycle after my m/c was 100 days long. It's normal for your body to be slightly out of sorts after a m/c. Not sure if that helps.

    So i finally found my way to an RE yesterday and after a quick ultrasound he found out that i had a good sized Uterine fibroid just sitting there!!!He reckons that's the reason i had been having back to back UTI's for 7 months now and the bad O and AF cramps, but does not know if it may be the reason why i've not gotten my BFP yet. UGH....

    Anyways, i'm scheduled for a sonohysterography tomorrow am...wish me luck, i'm sooooo nervous.

    Dh said I can't test until Monday. Idk what crawled up his butt! But I will not be following his directions. Although I might wait until the weekend. I have Thursday as my test day but I work at 3am and I don't wanna be p(ing)oas at 1 in the morning before work. Plus, that will give me more time to fret over the twinges and sore nipples. Perfect.

    @Beetones: I'm not sure what a sono...hyster...(sorry, I keep scrolling up to make sure I'm spelling it right!)ography is, but it doesn't sound fun... Hoping things go absolutely perfectly (if it's a procedure) and I'll be thinking of you!!!

    @ms.janedoe: lol...a sonohysterography is like the usual HSG, but with a saline solution instead of dye. I think it makes the uterus bigger so they can see stuff easily.

    I have a tmi question ladies. The past 2 cycles my boobs have been sore from like ovulation til my period starts. This has never happened in any other cycle in my life. Like I would have sore boobs just like 2 days during my period or whatever. I always had minimal period symptoms but now my boobs seriously are killing me. I can't lay on my stomach or side even, I can't stand it if DH tries to touch them and I can't even walk on my treadmill without dying. Does anyone know what could have caused this new symptom? I haven't been on any new mess or anything.

    Okay this is weird.. So I'm day 33, first cycle off Depo, and no signs AF is showing up. I had one day where I had a tiny bit of bleeding around day 28. So, for kicks I have started using my OPK strips an 2 lines are showing up, the first is not dark but definitely there. Does this mean I'm about to ovulate again? This is my first time using OPK strips.

    cantaloupe / 6206 posts

    @MrsTiz: Agree with the others... cycles tend to get really wonky for a while after m/c, not go right back to 28 days. You likely aren't really 'late' yet, but are just having a super long cycle. I'd definitely use OPKs in the future to get a better idea of when/if you're ovulating. Period tracker apps don't really help in that department, unfortunately.

  33. T.H.O.U.

    wonderful clementine / 24134 posts

    @anonysquire: Has your weight changed at all? I know a lot of moms that have "sore boobs" as a pregnancy symptom really mean that they have sore nipples not so much that the breast tissue is sore.

    @littlek: The second (test) OPK line has to be as dark or darker than the control line for you to be ovulating.

  34. Ash

    honeydew / 7909 posts

    @littlek: same thing @Thehistoryofus said but what I want to add is that a positive opk doesn't mean you actually ovulated. It means you should ovulate in the next 24-36 hours... It's the sign that your body is "gearing up" to O. So there's a chance, it geared up (but didn't O) earlier in your cycle and now it's planning on gearing up again.

    I'm trying not to symptom spot but i have a really bad metallic taste in my mouth (7dpo). Anyone have experience with this? I looked at webmd and pregnancy want even an option for cause of it.

  36. Ash

    @MrsH: I've heard that as being a symptom!! :))

  37. LindsayInNY

    @LittleK - As I commented in the other post, my first cycle post-BC was 40 days. I'm on day 27 of cycle two right now and have been using OPK tests for a week now. I've had a faint second line almost daily but that's it.

    @littlek: devil's advocate- I have seen on HB a few women doing the same thing and it actually being pregnancy.... maybe give it a few days and if you haven't gotten AF, test?
