We just started this week as well! We need to pick up some rubber spoons because shes not a fan of the plastic ones. Small bowls are also helpful because she eats maybe a teaspoon at a sitting right now.

We use Nuk spoons that are soft/flexible, although my MIL has some like the Gerber ones in the link above and DS uses those just fine too.

We have a Bjorn bib, which is great at catching food, but the bottom doesn't fit him well if the tray is on the high chair. He'll also try to get to the food in the bottom now and then. I'm going to look for a softer one, like the skip hop one mentioned above.

We use Earth's Best food. I like the pouches they make, but they don't seem worth the extra 50 to 60 cents over the jars. I just haven't had time to make my own and DS is now getting interested in larger chunks of food, so the puree stage wasn't really long enough to warrant buying a baby food maker or food processor.

We have a Space Saver high chair. We started solids when DS was 6 months and couldn't sit up on his own very well, so I wanted the higher back over a booster seat. If I were doing it over again, I'd have gone for the Fisher Care Deluxe Booster since it's smaller and easier to travel with.

We don't use bowls, we just put the food on his high chair tray. I don't plan on getting anything special for bowls, like the suction cup ones, since he should learn that things will spill if you tip them over.

Right now we have a nuk sippy cup with the handles on the sides, but DS isn't a fan. Since we started using the pouches of baby food, he's learned to suck the food out, so I think I'll try a straw sippy in the next couple of months. We don't give him juice, and he still gets a bottle, so we just put water in it for him to play/learn with. I think the nuk ones are hard to get the liquid out of. The openings are small and don't open well, which is good for them not leaking, but not for him to learn to drink out of.

I love love love silicone feeding products. We have the Beaba spoons (long-handle) and Kinderville bowls & cups. I like that silicone doesn't get too hot/cold and that we don't have to worry about BPA.

Gosh, I bought so much stuff...do you know what we've used the most? Our own regular bowls and teaspoons.

We use Avent spoons and bowls and bibs from Ikea. we also have a super cute skip hop zebra bib but liquids soak right through it.

For sippy cups, we have a Nuby and an Avent. The Nuby is definitely easier to use. I also just bought a Munchkin straw cup for LO to use but he just chews on the straw for now.

For food prep, I just use our blender or kitchenaid food processor. I bought silicon ice cube trays from Bed, Bath and Beyond. I also use Vital baby freeze and pop containers.

And last but not least, I just got LO a Munchkin mesh feeder that he really likes. He eats frozen mangoes and peaches with it.

We have nuk plastic-tipped metal spoons and munchkin soft tip spoons. we use the nuk ones more because they are less deep and easier to get the food out of.

We have a set of the gerber graduates bowls with lids. they have been great. we send them to daycare and use them at home. We also use some of our small tupperware containers when needed. For making food, I just use the blender and it has been fine.

For cups, we tried the playtex starter sippy cups but LO was only interested in chewing the little spouts. we tried a straw cup instead around 7 months and she loved it. we just have the basic playtex insulated ones and no complaints.
