DH and I have discussed what we would do if we tried to have #2 and it doesn't happen. We've agreed that we would stop there and not do any fertility treatments (and not adopt, have a surrogate, etc). Have you thought about what you would do in this scenario?

Wow interesting question! I would definitely pursue fertility treatments, and consider surrogacy and adoption. I guess having two kids means a lot to me, and I would be willing to do what it took to get there!

If we couldn't have a #2 we'd definitely adopt!

We would either try fertility treatments or adopt. We have discussed this and both agree we want our LO to have a sibling.

if we already have one happy healthy child, we might just stop there if we were having a hard time conceiving. i dont see myself going through fertility treatments for a 2nd child.

I'm not too sure, but I really want two children so I would probably be willing to do what it takes to make it happen.

we definitely wanted at least 2, so we would have gone the fertility treatment or adoption route. but i don't know if i could have gone through what mrs. jacks did with adoption. i never realized how intense it was!

Wow, what an interesting question. I honestly don't know. I really want to have two kids, so I would lean towards fertility treatments, adoption, etc, but I'm not sure DH feels the same... He's definitely on board with my plan to have two kids, but if we couldn't do that easily, I'm not sure how far he'd be willing to go to have a second.

I don't have #1 yet, but I think we'd adopt. I don't think we'd pursue fertility treatments or surrogacy considering we'd have already had the experience with #1.

it's important to me to have more than one. i think we'd do the less invasive fertility treatments - clomid, IUI type of things, but i'm not sure about further than that.

My husband isn't really into the whole fertility treatment thing, he's more of the "if it doesn't happen naturally, then we're not doing anything to make it happen" type of person than I am. I would want to try to take advantage of medical technology with at least some clomid and maybe an IUI, but not IVF. It's too intense for me.

I would want to adopt. I actually really enjoyed my son as an only child, but would ultimately want him to have a sibling.

We've never discussed this before, but I think we'd probably do whatever it takes to have a second child. Fertility treatments first, and adoption if that doesn't work. DH is an only child, and both of us come from extremely small families, so we really want to grow our own family a bit by having more than one child. I think we would go to pretty serious lengths to make that happen if it becomes necessary.

I think we'd try fertility treatments. If that didn't work, we would probably just stop. We didn't NEED to have 2 kids and were happy with just one. But we would probably give fertility a go and if that didn't work out for us, we'd be more than happy with our one spunky LO.

We want 2 but if it's not happening then we will enjoy our LO and thank our lucky stars for each other and LO.
