If you have any charts, bring them. My RE was actually interested in them.
Be prepared for them to look, ahem, down there. My RE surprised me with a Pap smear the same day as my first appointment.
Also, my RE took blood at my first appointment.
Good luck!!

I had a physical exam and they took my medical history. We lined up testing. I would think about how aggressive you want to be with treatment.

My first appointment was full of paperwork and doing a complete history.
Take pen and paper with you. Jot down your questions beforehand so you don't forget! I found it helpful being prepared in advance.
I was curious about treatment options, timelines, when we'dpve forward with something more aggressive, etc. most of my questions were answered before I had a chance to ask.
I didn't have a pap done that day, and I don't recall same-day bloodwork though I was sent for some!

I didn't have a physical exam. We just went over my history, the records my other doctors had forwarded, discussed treatment options, etc. We didn't do bloodwork because she wanted them done on a certain cycle day. I also had to meet with billing because I was a cash patient. I was so nervous to go but felt so much better after I went. Good luck!!!

I would concur about having pen and paper ready to jot down notes. My RE actually printed out his medical note for us since there was so much information to take in regarding the options. DH and I both felt good after talking to the RE and finally having an explanation for what was going on with the both of us as well as knowing what the next steps would be. I also had to do an ultra sound and the RE took u/s photos of my ovaries and uterus. I was so worried when I saw the ultrasound stick cuz I always thought ultrasounds happened over your belly and not in you! Good luck!

Good luck! Everyone else gave great advice. Pen and paper are a must. Ask the RE what his/her thoughts are on how to proceed and ask for a timeline.
Is your husband going with you? If not, ask him to jot down his entire medical history. My husband couldn't make it and the RE asked some questions that I couldn't answer well.
