Wow, it's been forever since I've posted to HB!!! Hope I'm not too late to join y'all!

We are in our 1st cycle after having my mirena pulled 4/8 and hoping for LO #2 soon! I'm not really sure when I can expect my cycles to return to normal as I've had it for 2 years and am completely clueless when I last O'd, so for this month, we've just been sort of going with the flow until my body starts to sort itself back out. Seeing all of your positive tests is making me super anxious to get started though!
    Good luck ladies!

So...I am only 6dpo and I have been super emotional, queasy, burpy, backache, dizzy, flushed with no fever, increased bathroom activity (sorry!) exhausted and had terrible cramps all day. Like really low pulling cramps. After learning what implantation cramps were, I got hopeful. I know 6dpo is wayyyyy early but I feel like garbage. Then I realized that I could just have the flu....uhhhhh... then DH got Greek food and it didn't sound good and now I feel sick. I kind of want to cry but I am trying to stay objective...

Eta: I just realized I must sound nuts because I posted earlier about thinking AF was coming early and now I think I have the stomach flu. I am actually (finally!!!) really calm/ balanced/ and cautiously optimistic but my body is being all kinds of funky! Dh said maybe I am KU and sick...boo... There is no way I can wait until 14dpo...

@whenoceansrise: Wow! Congrats!! I was hopeful for you this cycle, but worried you'd have to get testing done. Looks like you were meant to get pregnant this cycle and not a moment before. Have a wonderful 9 months!

@simplyfelicity: I'd test on 10 DPO if you can't wait! The worst is a BFN but still you won't be out. My line on 10 DPO was so faint that I didn't believe it!

@snowjewelz: Thanks! The funny thing, is after I felt super queasy and was laying in bed, I got really hungry..what the heck? Definitely not stomach flu because I woke up just fine. If I can't help it, I am going to test Saturday (10dpo) we have lots going on this weekend, so I hope I can push it back a couple days because 12 dpo seems ideal. Either I am pregnant or I can never trust symptoms, haha. But I know I wasn't imagining that pinching all. day. Long. Thanks as always!

@simplyfelicity: TWW is the worst... I really had no symptoms other than those pinches early on, so it's so hard to tell! I'm excited for you to test too... Your symptoms look promising!

Yeah, those pinching feelings were everywhere in my lower abdomen, all day long! I never felt anything quite like it!

@snowjewelz: Thanks! My stomach actually feels a little sore tody. Like when I bring my knees to my chest. I could totally just have a stomach bug but those pinching, pulling, poking feelings all day were something I have never experienced...very different from PMS or bowel cramps.

@ChiCalGoBee: @MrsHansen82: Thanks ladies! I am so relieved because I was going to get testing done after this cycle. soooo incredibly thankful it didn't come to that!

    @simplyfelicity: Thank you!

I just realized, I hope I'm in the right place since this will be #2 for us, but technically this is my first time actively TTC. So I'm definitely a beginner with charting and watching my cycles.

@whenoceansrise: Glad to hear! How did your DH react? I am at 9dpo. I had what I thought were implantation cramps at 6dpo so its probably too soon to even get a BFP. I tested this am on a dollar store cheapie but no dice. I know its early but it's hard to not test!

  23. whenoceansrise

    nectarine / 2053 posts

@simplyfelicity: He is super excited! My first doctor's appointment isn't until June so it's MORE WAITING. ahhhh. Yeah, I know. It's really hard not to test. 9dpo is super early though so maybe try again at 12dpo? That's when I got my BFP!

  24. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

@whenoceansrise: I agree! Maybe, then, it will be more definitive and I will know if I need to rollover. In the meantime, I have a stash of dollar store cheapies. I don't even want to think how much money I have spent on OPKs and hpt this month.

@whenoceansrise: Waiting for the first appt is the worst! Mine is next week, and I'm going crazy.

@simplyfelicity: 9 dpo is still early! I got a super faint positive at 10 dpo, and am pretty sure I would have gotten a stark negative at 9 dpo if I had tested.

@whenoceansrise: I'll be 8 on the dot next week, but I know a lot of docs schedule the first appt for 8-12 weeks. It just varies! At 12 weeks, your little bub will look much more like a baby than at 8 weeks

@simplyfelicity: Definitely not out yet! You're not out until AF

  29. ChiCalGoBee

    nectarine / 2028 posts

@whenoceansrise: Yep-I thought the TWW was hard....and definitely found that the FWW (four week wait) for my first doctor's appointment was even harder!! Don't be shy about calling and asking questions between now and then, though. The receptionist at my OB's office sucks and always makes me feel like a drama queen when I call (which has been, oh, twice in 10 weeks!), but the nurses and your OB WANT you to get the info you need. Call away!
@theotherstark: Eeeeee-your appointment is SO SOON! I have my second appointment (well, it's with the genetics counselor so not really a traditional OB visit) on Monday. I cannot wait to hear how your little one is doing!

  30. whenoceansrise

    nectarine / 2053 posts

@ChiCalGoBee: the waiting is so hard! But not telling anyone is also really hard! The recepionist that I talked to was super nice and said that if I got worried I could call and she'd ask the doctor if he could get me in earlier. Right now I'm okay with waiting the 12 weeks. It just feels like foreeeeeever!

  31. theotherstark

    pomegranate / 3045 posts

@ChiCalGoBee: ahh, I know!! I am so impatient and anxious about it! That's great your genetics appt is so soon, too. You'll find out the sex after that, right??

@whenoceansrise: I'm sorry you have to wait so long, but I think it will be fun to see the little bub when they actually look like a little gummy bear human instead of just a blob haha.

@theotherstark: Thanks! You are so incredibly sweet! I am going to buy a couple more FRER just to see if it gets darker. Luckily, I have two more digital tests.

@As Time Goes By: I totally agree! I was totally expecting a negative! I pretty much sprang it on him when he was waking up and threw the present at him (not even wrapped!) It's a book for first time dads and a baby bib with a design of our favorite baseball team. His expression was priceless! So sweet. And, yes, I found this link that says that women are more likely to get a posotve in the pm. It had percentages but I couldnt find the link. Thank you!

    ETA: I found the link!

Back with an update. So I was concerned I was being ridiculous going to see a RE after having "just" 2 early losses, but she confirmed my gut feeling that something is probably wrong. She said that based on (1) the early losses, (2) my 4-5 days of spotting before any kind of real bleeding (period or miscarriage), (3) I ovulate on day 20-21 and not earlier, and (4) the 10 day stretch of high readings I get on my clearblue opk before I get a peak - which indicates that my body is gearing up at the right time, but isn't successful at O'ing until much later - that there is a very high likelihood that my body hasn't keep the pregnancies for a reason other than just bad luck. She says that while I obviously get pregnant very easily, I ovulate "poorly" and my hormones and uterine lining could be too out of whack to support a pregnancy.

So no TTC again quite yet - this is a diagnostic cycle. I'll go in 7 dpo to get a blood test for hormones, AMH, etc., and then an ultrasound after AF to look at uterine lining, look for cysts, fibroids, etc. If I am truly O'ing poorly like she suspects, I will take Femara to strengthen ovulation.

She's pretty positive that whatever is abnormal can very easily be fixed and result in a sticky pregnancy for us soon. Yay! The downside is that our next time to TTC would be in May - and if my cycles stay the same length we won't be able to try then because DH will be out of town for work for my entire fertile week. I have mixed feelings because I'm very happy we're moving toward getting some answers, but I'm really sad we might not be able to try again until June There's been TONS of BFP's on here lately, and I'm so happy for everyone, but it's been hard to see it every time I log in. I know we will have our baby in time, and our journey will probably not end up being near as hard as others, so I'm reminding myself to be thankful for what we have and hopeful for the future!

    Sorry for the novel! Whoops!
