For those of you who are taking, or who had taken, prenatal vitamins, how much folic acid did you feel was important for you to have? I have been taking Women's One A Day Prenatal with DHA and it has 800 mcg of folic acid. My ob/gyn offers a prescription for vita Med MD One Rx that has something like 1 mg of folic acid. (Its just offered and not mandated for health reasons.) I am struggling with whether or not I should purchase the fairly expensive prescription for the little bit of extra folic acid or stick with the One A Days. Any personal opinions on this issue would be much appreciated!
. I have been taking it for the last year and a half. I noticed if I took it early in the day I would feel a little nauseous. I take it before bed now and I have no problems. Also, it smells like fish.
