I exclusively pump and my LO is 1 week shy of 8 months and has been getting 28oz a day in pumped milk. Recently we have been supplementing a bottle of formula a day so that I'm less stressed about keeping up with my supply.
Today, my daycare provider made a "friendly suggestion" to my husband that we should increase how much milk we give him by 2oz! She said he doesn't seem satisfied after his bottle like he is after his formula. It was my understanding that you don't increase how much you give your baby when it comes to breast milk and that the fat content in the milk changes right?? I also assumed that if my LO wanted more milk he would cry/whine for more right?! I'm a little irritated that she suggested this, but now I'm doubting myself if I really should be giving him more? I think he will gulp it down but I don't want to be overfeeding him. What would you guys do??
