As many of you know, I've been stressing a lot about pumping and having enough milk for daycare. I went back to work last week and did ok with my supply and bottles, but had a lot of anxiety about whether or not I'd make enough milk for the next day. In fact, on Thursday, in had to pick him up early because I had one less bottle than he needed.
I have a small freezer stash (about 30 oz) and spend much of the day worrying about how much milk I'm pumping.
Everyone is telling me that I should just try out some formula to see how he'll do with it. I know this is the right thing to do since it will ensure that I'll always have something to feed him (and also can leave additional emergency feeds with his caregiver) but I feel stuck even trying formula out. I am all for formula but have EBF (now pumping while at work) since he was born.
Has anyone else had trouble trying out formula, even if your intention is just to have a backup feed?
