Hi all, I'm pretty new to this community. Still trying to learn the lingo & abbreviations
DH & I have discussed babies for years. We've finally reached a point in our lives where we are transitioning from just talking to NTNP (not especially ttc). It's kind of overwhelming now that it's our time! Aside from financial preparations, prenatals, home preparations, healthy eating/living & knowing that NTNP can give fast or slow results, what else should be considered, or what advice might you have? I like to be prepared & don't know what I'm forgetting, so any advice would be appreciated!
If you truly don 't want to TTC right now and just keep it a stress free NTNP, I would avoid a lot of Google searches about cycles, phases of cycles, cervical mucus, suppliments, TTC friendly lube temping, OPKS, etc because you can't unlearn something. There is SO MUCH out there about TTC that it can be really overwhelming. DH and I weren't going to TTC until July but we pulled the goalie in April and I dove in headfirst, I wish I had just kept it chill and didn't research so much.
if getting pregnant right away isn't a concern, I would just aim to BD ("baby dance" aka have sex) every other day (EOD) from around cycle day 10 to cycle day 20. If your cycles are significantly shorter or longer, I would adjust accordingly. TTC can be a cluster "f" in the brain, so try to make it fun.
Save your money for the fun baby stuff!
