@Mrs. Yoyo: there's a price to pay for convenience! being in the city can make relatively simple tasks complicated, and even more complicated depending on the season (football/summer) and whatever way the wind is blowing. We *just* moved to the burbs and are amazed at how much easier it is to get around!

@MsLipGloss: @Mrs. Yoyo: Yep. It's fun and convenient having food, shopping and entertainment across the street, but not ideal for raising a wild toddler and a wild baby boy to be!
We're headed back to the burbs next Spring..! -
@chopsuey119: @MsLipGloss: Oh, understood. We didn't have LO with us that day, so I was looking at the area with my "no kid" glasses on. We considered living downtown here in little ol' Knoxville, and even here we nixed it for similar reasons and are in the 'burbs, too.

I want to go! I grew up in Decatur, my dad lives in Duluth, and my brother lives in the city. We never visit there, though.

@chopsuey119: I have my calendar unofficially marked - still haven't gotten a firm yes from DH. He did help me find my bathing suit though, just in case. I would say I'm getting close to a yes. Or really hoping I am, anyways.
