Hi Everyone! It's my first post although I've been lurking here for a while ever since I switched over from my old Weddingbee days (old-timer since I was married in 2009!).
Anyways - my question is for those of you who have a Nanny: are you planning to give her a Christmas gift? Our nanny started with us at the beginning of November, and we want to get her something to show our appreciation, but I am not sure what to get or how much to spend. I've love some suggestions!

it's hard getting gifts for nannies -- we just gave ours a $100 gift card to macys for her birthday since i knew she loved to shop there. for christmas i did get her a fancy airbrush makeup machine because i knew she wanted one. i think $50 is a good amount to spend?

@Mrs. Bee: I think $50 makes sense especially for us since she is part time (2 days a week). We were thinking of getting her a new cover for her iPhone since she had remarked on mine and hers is basic black, but I wasn't sure if that was enough.

I don't have a nanny, and actually I don't have any kids, but that is a very thoughtful thing for you to do and give her a Christmas gift. I'm sure she would love anything that you gave to her

I shop for her like I would a friend and got her a Kate Spade bag, an LV scarf and skydiving lessons for her and her boyfriend. She has been living with me and my sons nanny for almost 3 years and I truly love her like a sister.

Wow Ecogirl! You are very generous and kind. Even though we've only had our nanny for a short amount of time, our LO adores her and we want her to know how much we appreciate all she does for us.
