What are your go to birthday party gifts in the $20 range for preschoolers (4 and up)?
I am going to place an order on amazon today to stock up for the school year and I need some ideas.

oh another random thing my kids seem to love is backpacks for some reason. they are usually pretty affordable. when charlie was 3 we used to keep transformers rescuebots on hand for parties.

Thanks everyone, some great ideas! I am usually very last minute with things and there is no reason to be scrambling around, so having a few things on hand is key for me.
I am also making some custom labels so I can just pop them right on the gift, that goes in a clear cello bag, tied with a ribbon. No fuss, no muss.

Last year, when all of DD's classmates were turning 3, we did some variation of puzzles, books, Spot It Jr, and the eeBoo Tell Me a Story Cards.
I think Walkie-Talkies could be fun for the 4s.

Michael's sells theirs for 14.99 in different colors. If you pair it with a set of molds or cookie cutters you will be at $20.

@T-Mom: yep! they also have a box for it, which is the route I'd probably go, so you can keep it contained. It's right by the entrance.
