Anyone drink or take these to increase CM? How'd it go?
I don't know that I even have a lack of CM, but am looking for ways to feel productive leading up to O.... ya know, instead of helpless and having the future completely out of my hands.

I used mucinex. I'm not sure if it helped but I think so.

You already know my thoughts , but I'll share anyways.
I don't have a CM problem either, but I like to feel productive. I take Mucinex (3x a day) and drink green tea off and on (one cup per day max). I haven't really seen that much of a difference, but I like to feel like I'm doing something.
The green tea stresses me out a little because of the folic acid studies so I keep it to a bare minimum when I do drink it. A lot of people say they hate it, but I drink the Crystal Light Peach Mango Green Tea and it's delicious.
The key to the mucinex is drinking a crazy amount of water. The downfall is that last cycle that messed up my OPKs because my urine was insanely diluted.

I wouldn't do green tea because there are some studies that have shown it can interfere with folic acid absorption. I used to poo poo that whole theory but as you know we had a neural tube defect pregnancy.
I tried mucinex when trying for #1 but I can't remember any real difference! I think he sin qua non for us was BD several times before O (every other day). Good luck!

@winniebee: I was totally wondering what you thought about the risk of neural tube defects. I think I'll pick up mucinex to fill the need to feel like I'm "helping" this cycle.
@LBee: You definitely inspired this thread! Why do you have to increase the water?

@knittylady: I mean the chance is small but so is the chance of a neural tube defect, period, and we still ended up with one. So I say stay away!

@knittylady: Honestly, I have no clue but if you read the reviews of Mucinex everybody says it's a necessity. The back of the bottle actually says to take each pill with 8 ozs of water (and if you are taking it 3 times a day that means 24 ozs of water).

I hadn't heard about green tea and reducing folic acid absorption, but I used it to increase CM for both of my pregnancies. I do naturally have low CM production and I noticed a huge difference drinking two cups of real green tea a day. I only did it from the beginning of my cycle until ovulation. Seriously, such a huge noticeable difference. If you separate the tea and vitamin by several hours, is absorption still impacted?
