@regberadaisy: ok... so I think definitely 9-12 then. I'll just order a little bit in case the size doesn't work out.

@mrskc: I think H&M is slightly larger than Carter's -- I bought a bunch of the bodysuits and they are awesome! So soft and great quality! I can't remember the size but I can look and tell you when I get home from work. I want to say we bought 6 month - that he is still wearing and in Carter's 9 month.

@regberadaisy: Now I am rethinking everything in my cart. I put all 12-18 months stuff because my DS turns 1 in Sept. I don't want to buy 9-12 month stuff if it wont last him all winter though...ugh, so torn!

@T-Mom: good to know!
@lilyann: My LO 15m is about 22lbs and tall she is in at least 18 months and some 18-24m in other brands. I have her in 12-18 months for H&M and even some 1-1/2yr stuff (ie dresses) that I don't mind fitting big. Personally I would probably do 12-18 if I were you so he can grow into it through the winter!

@hellobeeboston: how are they fitting him now? Are they still big or getting snug? I want to say our sons are pretty similar in size. A was 19.5 lbs at his 9 month checkup.
honeydew / 7235 posts
@mrskc: I will write again when I get home once I check into the sizing!! Yeah, J was just over 18lbs at his 9 month....

So I was at the boards frontpage, clicked on another thread, and right when I did I caught the title of this one...**record screech**
Backed it up, and I'm freaking out! I was almost to the point of giving my friend in Denver a budget and getting her to buy LO some stuff. I'm so excited!

@mrskc: yeah I went with 9-12 for stuff I want him to be able to wear in November for our Christmas card picture but 12-18 for a cardigan that I can roll the sleeves. Fingers crossed it all fits ok!

@allison: ha! i'm a little disappointed in the selection online, hoping they expand it! (not that it prevented me from ordering)

@mrskc: @scg00387: What size are you going with? I feel like our LOs are built similarly (from what I can tell on IG). He's in 12 month Carter's now.
honeydew / 7687 posts
@allison: I went with 9-12 for pants and a fitted cotton knit sweater and 12-18 for cotton jersey shirt and cardigan that I figured would be more likely to shrink, and I think would look fine big. I posted some pictures up earlier in this thread comparing a 12-18 onesie to carters 12m/24m & janie & jack 12-18 if it helps!

@scg00387: @allison: how much do your LO's weigh? I feel like they look a little bigger than my guy. He was 19.5 lbs at his 9 month checkup 2 weeks ago. I'm still thinking of going with 9-12 size.
@hellobeeboston: This doesn't help me order right now! LOL!

@allison: L is 19ish and 28". She's wearing 9-12 pants today and they are a smidge long.
honeydew / 7687 posts
@mrskc: Mine is 21 pounds - we use cloth that puffs up his bum as well. I'm guessing we'll have to use a disposable for the chinos, they'll be a photo opp outfit only haha.
pear / 1895 posts
@mrskc: I think around 20 lbs. Not exactly sure, I just did the weigh myself, weight him and myself, subtract thing.
I definitely want to order big, so he'll have room to grow through the winter. He's currently gaining 1-2 pounds a month, so that seems tricky to plan for...
@oliviaoblivia: I'm not worried about length as much as girth! Ha. Do all the pants have adjustable waists? And are they adjustable to be smaller than the size, or bigger (does that make sense?)?
bananas / 9357 posts
@scg00387: @allison: they are pretty close in size then. I kind of go off WHO growth charts since he's following around the 50th percentile pretty closely to guess what he'll weight this winter.
pineapple / 12793 posts
@allison: the jeans she has on are adjustable and I tightened them. She's in carters 12m usually. I'm on my phone so I can't link easily. I think she'll be OK in the 9-12 for a while. The 12-18 was WAAAAY too big.
pear / 1895 posts
@oliviaoblivia: hmm. I was leaning toward 12-18!
Can anyone compare pants sizes to Osh Kosh? I just got LO some 12 month overalls and shorts from there and they fit well.

This is weird. The prices keep changing. When I have only 3 it is cheaper, when I add a 4th basic, it goes back up to $4. Anyone know why?

@Mrs. Champagne: super tragic it's not in Canada! One day we will catch up!

dang... now the site is down. I should have ordered sooner! I hope it works again soon. Anyone else having issues?

Good if you're short and busty, or if you just like your dresses short. I had the polkadot one - it comes in a few other silly patterns, but I snapped up the white and blue one.

@sarac: awesome!! looks a little short for me but I'd probably still buy it to wear on weekends!!
I just got two dresses from the store that i LOVE to wear under cardigans/blazers for work and alone on weekends. They're just simple, blousy, cotton jersey dresses. They were actually near the sleepwear so I'm thinking maybe they were nightgowns..!! But I can't find them online. One is white with black stripes and one is black with white dots.

@regberadaisy: ooooh man
Budget? What does that mean?
Just bought fall clothes for all of us.
bananas / 9357 posts
both codes worked for me. I used 0549 first and then put in 0241. I ended up getting 9-12 month. Hopefully it fits ok come this fall and winter!
pear / 1895 posts
Both codes worked for me, too, but I did them in the opposite order of @mrskc: , so try both ways!

@mrskc: i think those basics are 3 for $12!
ETA: i did the promo codes the same way as @allison:

@mrs. wagon: It is a totally beautiful dress! I'm short, so it comes down far enough to be really cute on me without feeling too short. I adore it. I'd buy it in ten colors if they have it. It's also modest enough that I feel like I can volunteer in it. So awesome.

@birdofafeather: Yeah, I realized they were 3 for 12 but I got two of the sweat pants for $2!

Ahh! I couldn't stand it. Went to H&M today and picked up some Fall stuff for K. Smallest sizes I could find 6-9m... Hope they'll fit!
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
Here is our experience with sizing:
When J was 6-12 months he was wearing their 4-6m
From 12-18 months he's been in 6-9
He is almost 18 months and 6-9 is just getting to be snug, but the 9-12 is still huge. It seems it definitely fits like Gap 18-24 which is still too big.
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@shopaholic: J is 17 months and just outgrowing his 6-9 month H&M sweater. He is 22 lbs and 31".
pear / 1895 posts
@Mrs. Pen: ...this is not good news for me! Ordered 12-18 month for my 20 lb baby. Ugh.
ETA: He is shorter, though. Therefore, much rounder. So maybe it won't be toooo bad.
