i used to do them before I was pregnant, then I read that article that said kegels in pregnancy can cause incontinence later and that's it's best to do those pregnancy squats. So now I'm afraid, but I do the squats and now my thighs are killing me.
After I give birth, I'm sure I'll go back to the kegels!

I didn't even do them during my first pregnancy/post-partum and I haven't been doing them this time either. I'm terrible, I know...

Just remember to do a deep belly breath between kegels!
I do different types of kegels, and i found out through my PT that my problem was relaxation, not strengthening them...in fact, my muscles were so tight that regular kegels were making them worse!

@Anagram: the dr leading my birth class also advised against kegels! If anything, i wish i did a perenium massage during pregnancy!

I was pretty intense about them and still am, but 8 months postpartum I STILL feel a little loose down there. I am beginning to think it's just the way things will be, you know? The new normal.

I was doing them whenever I remembered and then I just read what @Anagram: wrote and stopped! LOL.
I'll go home and do squats instead.

started at 4 weeks pp when i thought my uterus was falling out. then i found out it was just my bladder. then it fixed itself and I stopped because things are already too...NEW..down there for fun anyway.

No...but I should have! Now when I do jumping jacks I piddle EVERY.SINGLE.TIME! It's terrible I realized how good I had it before being pregnant when I just didn't want to do them, now that I do it's just a pain!
