I am fearful that I am not producing enough milk for my baby. We have been supplementing with formula and pumped breastmilk, but even when I pump I barely get anything. I never had heard that when you pump streams of milk should come out--I realize I never have the streams, just little droplets. I put in a call to my LC to see if she thought I could have true supply issues, and she suggested a pumping marathon--for 2 days, pump for 10 minutes (both sides) after EVERY feed. I am exhausted just thinking about the logistics (how do I entertain LO every time I pump!? I can barely fit in 2-3 sessions a day).
Have you ever done a pumping marathon? Any tips? Did it help?
