Does he feed off of both sides at each feeding. Pumping the side he doesn't feed on is a good place to start. If he feeds off of both sides, then you can try pumping about an hour after he eats. It also depends on how old your LO is. I would wait until he's 4-6 weeks to really start pumping, after your supply is established. Pumping too much along with nursing early on can cause an oversupply.

Does he have a longer sleep stretch when you first put him down at night? That's a good time to sneak in a pumping session too.

i started by pumping about 30 mins - 1 hr after the morning session, and got about 2 ounces total. once you build up enough for a sinlge feeding, then its easy to integrate pumping in because LO will drink a bottle and then you pump for that feeding. not sure how old your LO is, but when they start sleeping longer stretches at night, you'll have more milk to pump in the morning. and when LO starts going to bed earlier, you can pump before you go to bed. and thats when you can start your stash.
