So, A woke up to nurse at 11:40pm last night. Cut to my eyes popping open and not knowing where I was at 12:30am. I was in the rocking chair, A was still latched and we had both been sleeping pretty much the entire time. Ever happen to anyone else?

Almost every night the first year. We practically slept in the glider together!

Not for that long sitting up, though I'm sure I've dozed off for minutes at a time. But I've definitely fallen asleep side lying nursing and woken up later with her sleeping still latched.

Oh for sure. I don't think I'd have slept otherwise in the early months!

I just never thought it would be so easy to sleep sitting up. If it weren't for the boppy, I feel like I would have dropped him!

Yup!! I was always afraid I'd drop him so I'd prop my leg up on the glider so if my leg slid off, I'd wake up and he'd still be okay!

Almost every night. I set alarms on my phone to switch sides & to put her back to bed but sometimes it still doesn't work! I hate it because I end up only getting a few hours of sleep in my bed

Almost every night in the beginning but now it happens less often. When we "get up" for the day we both always end up taking an hour nap in the chair while he's nursing I always wake up feeling disoriented too!

I always fall asleep! I set an alarm so that I can wake up to put her back in bed. I nurse her in my bed so I'm not worried about her falling more the SIDS risk.

All the time for night feedings, especially the first month. I either cozy up in the recliner w/ the boppy keeping LO in place, or bring her into bed with me to nurse so I know she won't be falling anywhere. I like the bed better because if I'm laying down and she's nursing on top I don't wiggle or roll at all. I usually wake up to her sleeping on her boob-pilllow and cuddling the other one. Ha!

All the time! Especially when I bring LO into my bed to nurse her - we often both fall asleep for an hour or so...with her still latched.

Pretty much every night through his first year. DH would come and wake me up if he woke up and I wasn't in bed.

Yep. the other night DS was sick and woke up so I sat in the chair and rocked him. I fell asleep. Not sure if he did because I woke up with him wiggling and pointing at his crib.

Yep. It happened more often than I liked when she was tiny, but then not much for a couple months. The past week or two, I've been doing it again, though...I think all the adrenaline has worn off by now and just left the tired behind.

Every night. Usually around 4:00 I bring her in bed with me so I can just switch sides and still get some sleep.

Never sitting up. I've fallen asleep lots in the side-lying position though.

All. The. Time. For a while, it was literally every single night. Now that we're down to one wake-up per baby, it happens less often!

Never! I was always way too alert when handling the baby to be able to fall asleep! And we never mastered side-laying, so it just didn't happen.
