Yep! I met @LindsayInNY: and her husband when they were out visiting near my house. There are a few more girls I hope to meet. DH is totally not okay with online friendships. He think's its weird and thinks everyone is out to steal our organs for the black market.

I've met several. One I actually met first through a weddingbee meetup then after we had our babies, through HB! It's her and another bee who I saw regularly during my whole year off and I consider them good friends now. I also hung out with a third bee a couple of times since a past meetup that I'd like to get to know more. Problem is now I'm working full time, have a baby AND writing my dissertation. When I'm done my dissertation in a few months I hope to start connecting with HB more.

@mrbee: thanks. It sucks that I have to put my social life on hold though. But the reason im not done my dissertation yet is because I've always made other things a priority ( including WB and HB, lol).

I met my two best friends on HB. They keep me sane. They're incredibly supportive. They bring me coffee. They babysit. They make me laugh. They're pretty much the most amazing girls I've ever met. So....thank you, HB, for introducing us!!

@mrbee: haha, thanks for the links. i have much less time in general to procrastinate than i did 2 years ago, so having so little time to work actually forces me to use my time wisely...but sometimes i get a whole afternoon on the weekend and still don't use the time wisely, so i will keep those links in mind!

yup! quite a few, a few bigger meet ups with mamas & little ones and a few with just ladies. everyone has been very sweet about including me even without a LO, which might seem odd at first glance- the lady at the playgroup with no kid... haha, but really everyone i've met has been incredibly kind

I don't think there are any central IL bees, otherwise I'd love to meetup! We used to make it up to Chicago regularly, but not as much since my BIL moved out of the city and I got pregnant.
