Book looks good...I miss HB and I need to be offline more often now so I am going to participate as well to give me an excuse to check in. I rarely ever read fiction so it should be interesting to expand my horizons. Just ordered the book!

I really want to join in! I'm not sure if I'll be able to - since I'm in school and working... but we'll see if I can keep up
Are we doing a chapter a week? 3-5 chapters a week? (one a week would take a long time to finish!)

@Mrs. Pen: haha I could be wrong though! I know some of us have the book already and some don't so I think we will all start at different times. But I think we are discussing the 2nd week of October but I don't know how far we should be by then...hmm

@Mrs. Pen: at your own pace. We're going to have weekly discussion starting the second week of October. So plan to have about a quarter of it done by then.
Once I have the book in my hands I'll have a better handle on how to split it up. -
Requested the ebook from my library, but I have to wait for it. I wonder if other Seattle users beat me to it. I thought they would have more than one one ebook available.
I'll request the hardback book as a backup.
Also, I'll see if I can request at the Seattle City libary instead of KCLS.
Ok, it looks like there are a ton of holds for this book. I might have to bite the bullet and buy the ebook on Amazon.

@locavore_mama: There are a ton a holds (for book and ebook) at the two libraries I checked. I don't think I'll get the book anytime soon so I just bought it.

OK, friends. The book has 23 chapters. Can everyone handle reading 5 chapters by October 7th?

I'm totally bummed, there are 22 copies of this book at our library, but they are all rented!!!! I'm going to put my name on the waiting list!

I will definitely be joining this soon...but right now we're in the middle of buying a house, moving, DH starting a new job, and my transition to SAHM status. When life settles down and i Have time to read for fun again, I will be all about this!

I ordered my book on Monday, but just got a shipping update and the expected delivery date is October 7th.

@locavore_mama: Not yet! But a copy is supposed to be returned to my local library Thursday, so I may try to snag it. Otherwise, I might cave and buy it for the Kindle, I think it's $11. I could use one of the Amazon gift cards we got for our wedding, which were meant to be used for registry completion...shhhh...

Subscribing! I got the book and was just checking in to figure out the reading pace - happy to have my reading assignment for 10/7
should we maybe think about a separate board for HB Book club so the threads are all together in one place? i first went looking under the Hellobee thread before realizing there was a reading thread and it was probably there...but maybe i'm just a little slow
