Maybe she needs time to adjust? If she takes the bottle at home I'm sure she will eat at daycare.

@swedishfish: that's what I'm thinking too! I feed her right before drop off at 7 and pick up at 3:30. I guess she will learn to take bottle when hungry enough. It breaks my heart, but she's happy there and not crying or screaming!

@Jewel664: it's SO hard to leave your baby. Things will get better!

It took a week for my baby to adjust. I introduced her to a bottle early but we stopped around 6 weeks.

Give it time - my DS did that too - he reverse cycled - refused to eat during the day and the nursed all night long

@Smurfette: Glad you saw this post! I was going to point her your way!
@Jewel664: Smurfette's baby refused a bottle at first too, but they eventually realize they have to accept it and they do! Also, some babies just don't eat much at daycare and then they make up for it at home with Mama! It may mean more MOTN wake-ups, but they'll get their intake one or way or another!

My friend's baby went through this same thing. She adjusted after a few days and was fine ever since.

@Adira: thank you so much for the insight! I feel like she is starving!! I fed her a soon as I got home at 4 and then she nursed to sleep( I know bad me) at 7. I did a couple MOTN feeding and tanked her up at 6:30 am before drop off. She did better by taking about 2 oz today while there.

@Mamaof2: did he finally adjust? She did better today by taking about 2 oz. makes me sad that she's not eating or napping while there, but I know she will adjust. Thanks so much!

Your LO will eat when she is hungry, new place, new faces, just takes a little time to adjust. Dont' worry she won't starve! Hang in there momma

My son refused the bottle at first and it took us two weeks just to get him to take it at all. Then when he started daycare he barely would eat during the day and would be starving when I picked him up. But about 3 weeks later he began eating like a pro. Try not to feel too bad and know that he'll be just fine eventually!

Thanks so much for all the advice! I felt a bit better knowing she tried today. Yesterday I was dying inside. Trying not to let stress diminish my supply!

@Jewel664: yes I think it took about 5 days for us! Glad to hear your LO took 2 oz - that's great!
