I realise in hindsight that S was too small to survive on only 4 feeds per day and to possibly sleep 12hrs at 8wks old. But ignoring that for a second....
My health visitor asked me the other week if I understood that my breasts HAD to be emptied sometime between 12am-6am to maintain a supply? I said I didn't because I knew of babies who are EBF and STTN, so how could this be? And she replied that those Mums must have been referring to mean STTN as sleeping from 9pm-4am for example...AND she went on to add that an EBF baby shouldn't be STTN (in the true sense--12hrs or so) until they are a year old!
Am I missing something? Aren't there EBF babies here who STTN before this and Mamas who still maintained a supply? Am I destined to feed at 3am forever?!!
