I'm on a one day trip and forgot some pieces to my manual pump. I last fed at 5 hours ago. I can probably make it a few more -through my mtg- but not all the way home.
Any tips on hand expression that would work in a rental car (no tinted windows), a public bathroom, or ...? Or is it useless and I should find a place to buy parts?

I would express what you can, but don't stress if it isn't as much as usual. Just pump a little more once you get home.
As far as the discreet thing...I have no idea! I'm not sure I'd do it in a public restroom, though.

Do you need to pump into something (a bottle, etc)? Or just hand express enough to relieve the pressure?
If its just for relief, I get a warm paper towel, hold it on for a minute or so, then hand express into the towel. Have you hand-expressed before? I don't want to assume you haven't and give you way too much detail, lol.

I expressed in the back seat of our car on the highway once. I just hunched over and used a blanket we had on hand to kind of shield my boobs from view. I just needed to relieve some pressure.
