Sorry in advance- this is LONG!

Baby slept last night without waking up once from about 10:15-10:30 until 4:00 this morning (YAY!!)

The problem is, she wouldn't sleep in her cradle at all... for one thing- she moves around like crazy in here vs. sleeping on the couch where she weirdly doesn't move at all.

Since I had sent hubby to sleep in another room so I could "try to get her to sleep in her cradle" and I was exhausted I went ahead and put her on the bed (she slept in the dead middle of the bed with no pillows or blankets and she seriously didn't move from that spot the entire night) and voila, she slept like a champ pretty much like she does on the couch.

What the eff do I do? I am having a heck of a time sleeping on that couch and I'm worried that since she's starting to show interest in rolling over etc. that she may learn to move enough to get hurt on the couch.

I don't want the cradle to be a negative experience so I don't want to do CIO-- and since she's also only a little over 7 weeks old I think it's a bit early for that. I also do not want to start putting in the bed with us as a solution.

What are some non cry it out things folks have tried to break their LO of co-sleeping at a similar age?

adding for additional info:

1. We tried one of those co-sleepers and she wouldn't sleep in it which is how we ended up on the couch LOL I tried it for a couple weeks and then sent it back. She also will not sleep in a swing or the bouncy chair.

2. The cradle mattress is a little bigger then a king size pillow, so I even put a pillowcase on that mattress that feels JUST like the fabric on the couch LOL

3. she naps in the cradle just fine- and is in fact sleeping in there now... I put her in there right after feeding her and she passed out.
