The past few weeks have been so hectic- moving out of our sublet condo, flying to stay with my family until our house was finished, flying back to SC with my mom and staying in a hotel for 4 nights until we closed, then FINALLY moving in our house. Plus both of my parents stayed to help with moving in so we've had company since we got in the house. Needless to say, H's sleep got JACKED UP. Long story short, I didn't feel it was fair to her to make her CIO in so much chaos and constant change. Not to mention that my mom thinks CIO is cruel and gave me tons of grief about it so I didnt feel comfortable doing it with her around...
So she woke up 5 times last night. Gah! She has been in her crib since Friday night, and my parents flew out this morning, so tonight we are re-training! I am both dreading it and ready for it, because 5 wakeups is crazy.
The major problem is that when she wakes up, she stands and holds onto the crib, so no more casually crying herself back to sleep. I guess she'll have to get tired of standing and then lay down?
Any advice on how to handle this?
When we Sleep trained originally, 15 mins was my max time but when she's standing, she cries for 15 mins easy peasy. What is a fair time limit now?
ETA: I got bashed by the bored no-life stalkers on Gomi for my ST thread last time and just want to say that I don't think I am the first person to ever ST, but I am doing it alone (both times) and so this is the only support I have and I'm really grateful for it.
