Did you use a high chair? Trying to decide if this is necessary. I'm happy to buy one but if it is going to just sit in my kitchen and take up space and I don't use it that is another story.
Did you use one? If not, what did you do for feedings once your LO got a little bigger? If you did, what kind do you recommend?

I LOVE the look of the Boon @KRsmall ! Unfortunately my husband was not keen on the price tag. We'll be buying the fisher price space saver once baby is here/older it seems to be the best space saving, economical option that gets lots of good reviews.

been using it since LO was 6 months old. (she's 19 months old now).
Love it. it's portable so you can take it places. space saver since you put it on a chair. all plastic and so easy to wash.
Best of all, it's CHEAP!

I use one and like it. Hate the actual chair but its a must have for us. We also use it for Skyping with my parents! Or sometimea lo sits in it and watches me cook. Very handy!

I recommend sleek and plastic. Ours is wooden and is a food trap everywhere!!!

I have the exact same one as @chopsuey119. I was originally going to get the Stokke Tripp Trapp high chair for its aesthetics, but forgot about it when we started using the Fisher Price chair. We got it for a shower gift, and i love it. I brought it when we went out because LO no longer liked sitting in the car seat at restaurants, but was still a bit wobbly for the restaurant high chairs.
It's plastic and you can easily take it apart and scrub it down. So much food gets on the high chair, i would stay away from fabrics!

We have the FP booster and the Ikea Antilop. I LOVE the Antilop!!! Super cheap, super easy to clean, and it's smaller. A younger baby fits well in there. We haven't used the FP booster yet because the Antilop has been so easy.

Im with @IcebergMom: Go plastic. The Boon one is great. We have an Eddie Bauer Wooden one. While its beautiful and fits in with our decor, its imporssible to keep clean.
Also, in my experience (liv is 16 months) YES it is necessary. She eats square meals while in her highchair. If I try to feed her on the couch or in the living room, she grazes and gets distracted and wont eat enough, then gets grumpy and hungry. It lets them know "time to eat" and allows time to learn to use utensils and associate the table with food time.

We registered for this one. We wanted one that would just go on a chair we already have so it takes up less space. I have a couple friends that use it and really like it.

@Smurfette: those are awesome but be careful your LO doesn't use her legs to kick against the kitchen table. Mine flipped her chair backwards after launching off the table with her feet and I caught her inches from the ground. That's why I went back to using my freestanding chair until she can listen to reason.

we use the fisherprice deluxe booster seat. It is awesome and best of all it has no fabric so it cant get grubby and yucky. Read all the great reviews on amazon!

@Smurfette: yes just don't pull your LO too close to the grown up table. Those chairs are also great for taking to friends' house for suppers
