You have $200 to $250 to spend on a highchair (gift from a grandparent). What kind(s) would you get? It can be a combination of two (or three) or just one.

We had the same situation and we went for the Boon Flair. Haven't used it yet, but the easy-to-clean factor sold me on it!

Stokke Tripp Trapp. We have two, one for each LO. It's definitely a chair that grows with them.

I would get the Tripp Trapp. Has a much longer useful life than any other high chair. We had a fancy stand alone high chair, but had to get rid of it as my kids kept climbing into it and knocking it over. Once you get to that stage with the Tripp Trapp, you can just remove the baby set and they can safely and easily use the chair for years. Plus, they have lots of colors so it can match your other chairs!

@erind425: As an aside, how are our babies old enough for us to be talking about highchairs?

I don't hear it mentioned often on here, but we have the Nuna Zaaz and its awesome.

With that budget I'd get the Oxo Tot Sprout. I wanted that one but couldn't bring myself to pay that much.
We have the Mamas & Papas Pixi and love it. The top looks similar to the Oxo. The nice part about the Pixi is it folds up and can be stored away easily if space is tight or you need room for guests. We also have the FP booster and that one was essential when LO was still too little for restaurant high chairs or if we go to someone else's house.

We knew we weren't opposed to 2 under 2 so we chose a highchair that could accommodate two kids. We went with the Graco Blossom LX 4-in-1 seating system. No complaints so far, although it's only LO1 using it right now. It's easy to keep clean, I just wipe the whole thing with a sponge and hand wash the removable tray. The footrest is adjustable and we recently moved it down to the second position (out of 3) for our 14 month old. We use the seat on the rolling base at home but it does strap to a chair and that worked well when we took it on vacation this past summer.

DD1 started in her bebepod flex (like bumbo) then went straight to a Fisher price booster deluxe. All less than $50! Save the money and spend it elsewhere.

I agree with @regberadaisy, LO wasn't in her high chair more than a few months before she wanted to be in a booster on a chair like us (luckily ours came apart and we used it to sit up, Graco 3 in 1.)
I would go cheap on a high chair and use the money to help out elsewhere, I would not spend a lot on a high chair, doesn't seem worth it to me!

we are getting the oxo for A for Christmas from our family and hoping she likes it! i like that it is smaller and looks more like a piece of furniture than a big plastic thing.

We had a graco highchair for LO #1 and then felt it was way too big and bulky. We ended up selling it and got the Ikea antilop highchair for LO #2. It's much slimmer and she is able to sit at our table with us.

Boon flair is the best thing ever. I am tall, so I like that it is pretty tall too for when I am standing feeding her in the kitchen. I also love that it has wheels- easy mobility= priceless. It also has a very small footprint! And it looks cool!

We had a Graco slim spaces highchair for LO's first year and it was ok. Not bad, not great. LO seemed to really hate it at the end though. She was always trying to climb out. I recently splurged on a Tripp Trapp and we all love it so much. It's so much easier to clean and LO really likes sitting at the table with us.

Another oxo tot fan! I love how it is so easy to clean. I also love that it coverts into a regular chair for when dd is older

I actually sold a Tripp Trapp and got the Boon Flair, which we love. It's survived many a projectile vomit and is so easy to clean up - the seat pad isn't attached so you just pick it up, wipe, and wipe the chair itself.

OXO tot! We have used and loved it for two years now. It is easy to clean, fairly good-looking, DD is now using it converted to a regular, boosted chair.

Sprout! We still use it 21 months. So easy to clean.

We have a Keekaroo, which is similar to the Tripp Trapp. We love it, and I preferred the infant insert because it just seemed more comfortable.

We have the oxo tot sprout too (in lime green!) and I highly recommend it. It's a highchair that actually looks nice in a dining room or kitchen, not an eyesore like so many others. Easy to clean, grows with child.
We tried just using a FP booster, but LO managed to rock it backwards and tip the chair she was strapped into onto the floor resulting in our first ER visit, so we haven't used it since. Bought the sprout right after, wish I had just bought that one all along.

@yoursilverlining: I'm considering the green! Glad to hear someone likes it. Terrifying story about the FP booster - I've been thinking about that one... definitely off my list now.

I LOVE our Leander which is similar to the Tripp Trapp but made completely of natural materials.

Love the Boon Flair. Super easy to clean and the wheels are the absolute best part. Easy to wheel her around to where we want her and then to the sink for clean up.
