With the holiday season upon us, do you plan on sound any teacher/child care provider gifts? What kinds of gifts do you usually give and what do you spend on them?
I'm thinking of sound something simple like chocolate and a gift card. I just figure they would appreciate something practical like that, or does that come across as too impersonal?

She has had new teachers for like 3 weeks now. So I will probably just do a gift card and something sweet I make.

For the main teachers I'm thinking gift card and for the aides/assistants I bought nice bars of Tcho chocolate.

We've got one of the parents who is trying to coordinate a group gift this year, which is a nice idea but nobody has any concrete suggestions yet. Maybe we'll just wind up doing gift cards to a restaurant or something.

Last year I baked shortbread cookies and did that and a gift card, I'll probably do the same thing this year, with maybe a less time intensive cookie.
