What are you planning on for holiday gifts this season for your daycare provider? We have an in home so I will be giving her a GC to her favorite local restaurant this year, they go once a week so I know she will get use of it! 2 of her daughters help out so I need to come up with something for them, probably a smaller Sephora GC and a picture colored by our oldest. What about you?

Probably a GC to their favorite store. The director puts out a book of the teachers favorite things at the end of the year and we try to treat them to something they enjoy.

We always do gift cards. Not sure which store yet but probably Target.

Target GC with some kind of edible gift for the four main teachers. Something else for the floaters and probably an edible basket of some sort for the front office.

I have done $25 gift cards in the past (the past two years K has been either new to DC or new to the room and I did not know the teachers well enough). She usually has 3 teachers - 2 full time and 1 constant floater.
This year I know the girls better and will be getting them each a Thirty One Tote, filling it with homemade treats packaged cutely and some fun school supplies. I'm sure I'll splurge and add something else at the last minute but thats the plan.
I think I will take donuts to the center for "everyone else". K is almost 2.5yrs now and I know and love so many of the teachers beyond the ones she has constant interaction with. So I want to do something for the center too.
Lastly - I try to do something for her "classroom" - not much ... maybe some new books this year?

I got cute glass mug candles and I will attach a Starbucks gift card. He has 2 teachers. I might bring cookies or something to the office.

I usually do gift cards to Amazon or Target and then something small like nice soaps. This year, LO has one male teacher so I would feel weird giving him soaps but maybe a candy/snack.

We usually do GC to Amazon and will probably do that for my son's preschool teacher. My daughter goes to public school kindergarten and they are having a book fair in a few weeks. Each teacher has a wish list and I will probably buy something off the list for my daughter's teacher.

@Mrs D: yes, for the class gift! Last year I did a age appropriate M&D toy. This year I'm leaning towards a science kit from ALEX Toys.

It didn't really occur to me that I should get a gift for B's daycare teachers, thanks for the reminder and the ideas!
@regberadaisy: I make this granola recipe - my family goes through about a batch every 2 weeks. It's expensive to make because of the pecans but you could swap them out for something else and it's SO GOOD! We've only been at the center for ~2 months by Christmas, I need to re-confirm with my mom and DH who exactly have they met/talked to there. I only know there is 2 main teachers, but there could be someone else. We'll probably get Target GC's.

The whole class gives money at the beginning of the year. Then the Room Mom(s), me this year, is in charge of getting gifts cards for their bday, Christmas, and teacher appreciation. I will probably get them both Visa gift cards for their bday (early Dec) and Christmas this year.
I will probably do something else little.

S/O: both girls just moved rooms in September. Would you get something for the teachers in the previous room? They're all teachers we like and are friendly with. That means four extra teachers...yikes.
ETA: maybe just one shared edible gift for each of the girls previous teachers?

Not really sure what to do for the floating teachers as there are a lot of them, especially in the infant room. Would love some more ideas for what to do for them!

@regberadaisy: We have not been in this situation before but I would do something shareable. In theory all the parents currently in that room will spoil them!
@MUI831: I think for shareable gifts donuts, bagels w/ coffee is great. We also have a pizza place near us that does $5 pizza's if you pick them up - so I have thought about that! Also - our DayCare has one "teachers" bathroom that parents are allowed to use - I have thought of doing a nice candle and some nice lotions/soaps for in there as a thought? Plus I think a gratitude jar is great...you could make it and fill out the cards to start...the center could then keep it up?!

I am giving her 2 main teachers movie tickets and then a box of chocolates for the room/everyone who helps out.
