OPK question: when I tested Sat and Sun, I got a very visible line, but not as dark as test line. Now Mon-Thurs it's been almost invisible lines. I really don't think I've O'd, expecting it this weekend, but curious if others have lines dark, then light before the true positive OPK?

@runnerd: what cycle day are you on? Is it possible you caught the end of the surge? I have had OPKs go in and out, but I'm not a good reference because I have PCOS and never ovulate on my own. My body would try a couple times, but never make it.

@MrsCB: my cycles are long 35-40 days, and It would have been CD 13 & 14 - and I NEVER have <35 cycles.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@runnerd: No suggestions for your OPK question, but I too have long cycles (34 days) and thought I O'd on CD18, but I think I might be O'ing later like around CD21 because that's when I would be getting a positive OPK. However, I took an OPK yesterday, which would be CD 27 and it looked positive! what the crap?! I went back to using the internet cheapies, but the test line was definitely as dark as the control line yesterday. Just another confusing aspect of TTC! Yay!! =\

@Alivoo01: man it's super annoying isn't?! i probably shouldn't have started the OPKs so early, but I just didn't want to chance a weird cycle and miss OD, but now I am so strung out that I'm not even wanting to keep checking until actual O. And I'm stressing the hubs out AND he thinks he may be getting flu. BLAAAAHHH!
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@runnerd: Oh no!! Hope he doesn't get the flu because then you'd get it too. Yuck!!
I'd just BD every other day to cover your basis regardless of what the OPK says.

@runnerd: i kept a log of my OPKs from last cycle (took pics of it at 5 min mark, kept them in a doc on my computer) and my lines came and went as they pleased until they became blaringly positive - so yes it definitely happens. Let me know if you want to take a peek at my log (it's a word doc) I'd love to share!

Hello December!
TTC baby #2, cycle #4.
Trying new: Nothing. Considered temping and even bought a thermometer but I think it would stress me out too much. Still just OPKs.
Hope Santa is good to us all this month

Jumping on board for December - bring on my Christmas miracle!
This is our 14th month trying. O day is 11/30 or 12/1, POAS day 12/14. This was my 4th month on Clomid, first month monitoring. Ovidrel trigger was earlier this morning, got a peak on the CBEFM this morning before trigger ... I'm hoping this all pays off! Good luck to everyone!!

@MrsCastro: Keeping my fingers crossed for you girl!!! Hubby and I are trying to BD every other day until AF shows also. I log when we BD and for some reason we skip 2 days in a row the same 2 days the past 3 weeks. Ha! Hope it doesn't affect our changes, but I'm trying uber, uber, uber hard not to stress about anything this month. The moment I feel my stress starting to build up, I try to "wooosah" it out ASAP. Hoping this will help!

@Mrs D: Yes, DH is totally freaked out, but he's coming around. We're in the "we'll see what happens" phase. We got to this point when I pointed out that while he can make babies until the day he dies, I have a finite baby-making time period and we're not getting any younger.

@anonysquire: Thinking about you! Hope you get a BFP in a few weeks!

@evansjamie: Thank you! I need to hold off on testing and just keep having sex in case that wasnt real ovulation. But the pain is gone now which is good!

I almost had to punch DH in the face last night...when confirming again that we were throwing caution to the wind this cycle DH goes so if it did happen (he is convinced it will happen straight away - I am convinced it will take a little while) when would I be due. I responded and told him mid Sept likely. He says - "wow so we're good for a few months then right? I mean it'd be great to have the baby during the winter months so golf season isn't a problem"...
yes, unfortunately I married this man...ugh!
(full disclosure - he is definitely joking but also somewhat serious - he has a friend who's wife will not let him leave on the weekends to play golf EVER...not saying DH should play all the time but he needs a life too...she has him on total lock down and it drives DH nuts!)

I'm a fairly new lurker, posting for the first time!
If I don't see AF tomorrow, I'll POAS Saturday. My cycles are usually 28 days and today is day 28. I also started temp charting this month with no clear O, but a business trip mucked up my readings and I think it happened around day CD16.

@Mrs D: haha!!!! I have a friend who's husband had so many golf and hunting interests. Guess I'm lucky that my hubs likes at home things like video games and watching football
pomelo / 5132 posts
@ Mrs. D: and I thought my husband was obsessed with golf! ha! I think he plays too much, but whatever, it's his hobby. I guess I'm an enabler by buying him new irons this year. His winter hobby is brewing beer and cider. I think I'll take golf...it doesn't stink up the house!
grapefruit / 4311 posts
@Mrs. J: i wish my hubs would brew beer and cider as a hobby!! well, unless his brews sucked.
pomelo / 5132 posts
@ runnerd: it's actually good...the beer just smells in the process! I tell him the house smells like Amsterdam. He is brewing mead too, so our basement looks like a little brew lab.

@fussygal: welcome! I'm currently waiting on AF too... Timing was too off this month with travel for a BFP. I hope you are lucky enough to get a BFP but if not hopefully we can be cycle buddies!

I have to change my POAS date but not sure of the date yet.. at CD24 today still haven't O'd!
honeydew / 7909 posts
When I pick my poas date, I should see if I work first. Since I work the 5th, I'll probably do it the 4th instead. I don't think I can do a whole 12hr shift after getting a bfp (high hopes huh?)
Let's get December rolling ladies!

I am ready for December!
Today should be CD1 for me. AF will show up after lunch sometime (one thing I'll miss about being on the pill - being able to pinpoint exactly when AF will arrive!!).
I've begun charting, even though these last few days don't really matter. I wanted to get the hang of taking my temps every morning.
Hoping we get LOTS of BFP's this month!!!!!!!

@Sugar.Biscuit: When I test on Sunday i'll be 13 DPO. My temps dipped this morning so i'm hoping i'm not out before i'm even in. FF wants me to test the 8th but i dont think i could wait that long.
