I had a bunch, but didn't end up using any of them. I mostly just went with my gut - whole foods, pureed, some with salt and spice as I saw fit. Serve plain or mixed with yogurt/oatmeal/cream of wheat/rice/ etc. This was my version of baby led weaning. My daughter wanted food before she could self feed, after that, we just did BLW.

I used ice cube trays. I have a set that's specially meant for baby food with lids, and honestly, I'd skip it. Just freeze in trays, then bag them up. Really easy to use as much or as little as you want. I specifically looked for the thin, cheap plastic ice cube trays, because they were easiest to crack and get the food out of.

And not that you asked, but I've just bought a few of these Little Green Pouches, and they are an utter homerun. At 17 months we're way past the pureed food stage, but I'm using them to serve yogurt/applesauce on the go and avoid mess.
