When did you start making baby food?

After we started solids. I think it's only good for a month in the freezer, and they only eat tiny amounts at first. I just made it as we went for the first couple weeks (banana, avocado, sweet potato, etc) in small amounts. After maybe two weeks I mad some bigger batches for the freezer. Now she eats about 4 ounces at dinner, and I can just pop out 1 ounce cubes of whatever.

Not until she turned six months old. I only made enough to freeze for about a week - no matter how carefully I froze the purée cubes, they always looked freezer burned and had ice growing on them.

I froze some fresh berries and peaches in the summer. We're doing BLW though, so no purées required.

I was told that they only last a month or so in the freezer, so we're waiting until we're ready to start solids.
I can't believe your L is already almost 5 months old. WOW!

Well, I had intentions of starting early but then before I knew it she was 6 months sooooo that didn't work out well.
BUT, it worked in my favor in the end b/c LO HATES reheated food. Everything has to be fresh cooked--exceptions are made though if I melt butter in with reheating. Oy.

Ah! Thanks everyone. Did not know it was only good for a month frozen. I think I'll do like some of you and just make it as we go!
