When I was pregnant I secretly wanted twins! My cousin was pregnant with twins when I found out, and I thought it would be so cool for us to both have twins within a few months of each other. Not going to lie, so glad it didn't happen to me! I think I woudl cry if it happened next time, but I would for sure come around, I would cry for the money & lack of space aspect of things!

@kml636: I'm not pregnant. I think you missed that! Still in the TWW

DH wanted twins for the first. But now he doesn't
MIL still says annoying comments about having twins. (She just wants us to have tons of kids I think).
I'm DEF okay with NOT having twins and having another pregnancy instead.
baby dust your way!!! fx for you friend xo

I did & got them. After years of trying & enough money to feed & arm a small country, I was thrilled to get two at once. Now that they're here and the sheer exhaustion of taking care of two is upon me, I say, you're nuts!

@LMOG47: Haha, love the honesty.
I also wished for twins before Liam, especially boy/girl twins. Now, I say that it sounds just way too hard, but I still hope. Although, if I had boy/boy twins, I'd probably cry. I need my girl!

@mrs. tictactoe: I'm never anything but honest They're great, I love them to death and would have it no other way but two at once is pretty all consuming, at least they are right now heh.
Perhaps you'll get your wish of a girl x 2

I have always thought it would be awesome to have twins, but when I actually got pregnant, the thought of twins scared me so much. I was so relieved to see only one baby at the first ultrasound.

I really want twins! Due to my DOR, and the fact that it's becoming quite expensive trying to get pregnant with #1, two would be a blessing, even though I know how hard two babies at once would be.

I really did, especially because it took so long to get a sticky baby, but then my sister got twin boys. Now I'm over it, but really glad my sister adopted those two cuties!

@sunshineandsushi: ditto! The awesome far outweighs the hard! And for us, it's kind of comforting to know we only have to go through the "hard" once (of course, we only get the awesome once, too...I try not to think about that!).
I was terrified about juggling and affording two, but now I can't imagine having only one!

To be honest, anything that reduces the amount of time I have to TTC is good by me! I would totally have twins now although if I could be guaranteed 3 singletons I would take that first.

I'll admit it, I wanted twins. Logically I know that is silly on multiple levels, but as someone who also wants a big family and took a while to conceive, I can see the attraction.

Oh man...I would love two little twin girls or boy/girl twins. LOVE! I know the odds are basically nonexistent, but.....that would be amazing!

When I was young I thought that would be awesome considering how many twins we both have in our families.
After seeing what my SIL and BIL have gone through with theirs- not any more! I love those kiddos so much, but the health worries when they came early and the financial stress they have of two at once are not something I want to deal with. As much as I dislike pregnancy, one at a time is good for me!

We got our first BFP this week and dh wanted to go check out strollers at a fancy store downtown. We fell in love with uppa baby vista. I joked to him as we walked past the double strollers- what of we need those....... He just took a deep breath. I have twins on my side of the family so possible!! I don't know where we would put them but I wouldn't be upset!!

I've always kind of hoped for twins.
It sounds silly, but when I was in grade school we did a thing where we had to take care of a fake baby (in our case it was bags of sugar, but I've heard it done with eggs instead) and we drew out of a hat to see what gender "baby" we had. I got twin boys, and ever since then have felt I'd end up with twins.

I would have been super happy the first time, but now that I've been through the sleepless nights and I already have one and just want one more, I really don't want twins next time. I'd adjust and I'm sure I'd come back saying I was glad it happened, but where I am now, the thought of one more is still scary.

I wouldn't have been upset, but I never hoped for twins! I can't even imagine how much work it is, especially the breastfeeding!!!

When is it normal to find out if one is preg with twins??? Ultrasound?!!? In my area it is common to get one ultrasound at 18-20 weeks. I couldn't imagine finding out then!!!

Before I had kids I thought it would be cool. Now that I've had one, the thought terrifies me! Of course, it would be blessing but a huge adjustment!
