So now I am really confused. My wondfo looked totally positive but my First Response OPK is negative. Hmmm.... It is right on time, and I've had ewcm.... I wonder why the FR digital is negative....

@travellingbee: Your Wondfo is probably more sensitive than the FR, I'd expect it to be positive by morning

@lilyofthewest: haha yes, every state is huge compared to mine!

@loki: Okay by me . In my head I was thinking, "yes! I just got permission from a nice lady on the internet to start testing 2 days even more crazy early!" Putting things off to the 10th is probably a smarter use of pee though.

    @raspberries: re: PreSeed & Conceive+Plus

I haven't used the C+P yet, but the PreSeed is a pretty nice, basic lube.

I've been using it just because if I'm going to get it on every day or EOD for a stretch, I need lube, and most commercial lubes can be harmful to sperm. I don't think the PreSeed or C+P is going to do anything extra to get me knocked up, just that it won't interfere in the way my usual lube might.

Well, at least I mostly don't think it'll do anything magic. If I weren't holding out some hope of magic I probably wouldn't have swapped in the C+P this cycle.

  29. Hoots

    kiwi / 673 posts

    Yay! I'm in this cycle.

    Cycle Day: CD 14
    TTC Cycle #: 3ish
    POAS date: Tentative 8/5
    Baby #: 1
Your plan this month: Chart, opk, metformin, and just generally hope for O. Not really hopeful with the new PCOS diagnosis, but I'm just glad we have something and a semi-plan at this point. If no O in a few weeks, then Provera.

Something exciting you've done or are doing this summer: TTC! Finally! Summer is generally pretty miserable for us so we don't do much during this time of year.

    Cheers and lots of ladies!!

  30. travellingbee

    hostess / papaya / 10219 posts

@MissLace: Beautiful! Thanks for sharing a pic!
@Hoots: Our summers are the same. I'm in Texas-where are you? Good luck!

  31. Hoots

    kiwi / 673 posts

@travellingbee: Thanks! Texas as well! We're in the Houston area, and I think the humidity is probably the worst part of the heat in general. Today I felt like I couldn't breathe about 5 p.m. it was so bad.

  32. travellingbee

    hostess / papaya / 10219 posts

@Hoots: haha! I'm in Houston too and God, it's been so humid!!! Can't wait for our trip next week to get out of this!'

  33. Hoots

    kiwi / 673 posts

@travellingbee: I'm pretty jealous of your trip. I wish I could get out of this heat. I've never been to California, but I imagine it's pretty heavenly right now. Summer is just not a good time to travel for us. I hope you have a awesome and non-humid time!

    @MissLace: omg, so adorable!

@JennyG: I like Clear Blue Advanced Digitals - hey tell you when your estrogen rises (i.e. when you start become fertile) and then also when you LH surges (i.e. when you are about to ovulate).

  36. angelachase

    apricot / 306 posts

@JennyG: I second @KelLeeLeee on the ClearBlue Advanced digital OPK. They are expensive, but also there is zero guesswork. I have found them very accurate, too.

  37. Runnergirl

@misslace: I love him!!! How old is he? Aren't puppies wonderful- you are so busy taking care of them you never obsess over ttc!

  38. MissLace

    apricot / 311 posts

@Runnergirl: he was 8 weeks old in that picture, he's currently about 13 weeks now. Yeah, it definately helps a bit with the ttc obsession, but this being my first actively ttc cycle i don't think it can be tamed much! Haha

On another note, of course the first cycle we're trying i have to travel for work for a few days during prime ttc time (ughh!) but we BD O-5 & O-4 (or 4 & 3 if i O a day earlier, still havent gotten a positive opk). I hope something sticks!

@JennyG: I have been using the ClearBlue digital. My doctor actually recommended them because they are easy to read. I have never used any other brand, but I have seen other HB's use cheaper OPK's and sometimes have a hard time interpreting the results. Amazon sells them the cheapest, I think. I personally would hate being like 'is this positive? I think it is, wait I don't know'. haha.
