@JennyG: I agree that I like the ClearBlue Advanced. I tried the Wondfos but I had a hard time reading them. This cycle I used the CBE and it totally took out the guesswork. Like @angelachase said, they are more expensive but it was worth it for the peace of mind

Thank you for starting this. I know the July POAS board kept me sane for a couple of weeks. Good luck everyone this month
Cycle Day:
TTC Cycle #: 4th cycle
POAS date: August, 1st!
Baby # Zero human babies, three fur babies!
Your plan this month: This month we used OPK's for the first time. Still monitored CM, but no temping. I sleep too erratic and never get up at the same time.
Chart link: No chart for me. Will start charting during cycle 5 if we aren't successful this month.
Something exciting you've done or are doing this summer: I will be celebrating my sweet nephews 1st birthday!!!! Nothing has been more gratifying than being his auntie!

Hey Ladies,
I'm kind of a newbie here, so I hope you don't mind if I join in.
Cycle Day: 15
TTC Cycle #: 2
POAS date: Aug 6th
Baby # 1!
Your plan this month: I have been temping for the last few months, and using OPK's. This cycle I started using Vitex, Super B complex, and raspberry leaf tea to help lengthen my short LP. We'll start BD tonight and then ED or EOD till O.
Chart link: http://fertilityfriend.com/home/4aea00
Something exciting you've done or are doing this summer: Last month we started remodeling our kitchen. The last time it had been remodeled, except for new appliances was in 1975, and it was horribly redone. We did so much to it already, including adding a whole wall of counter space. We are just waiting on countertops, tilling and new moldings. I'm so excited to get it done.
I would be such a happy Momma if I got my BFP this month. I would be due just a 8 days after my birthday. So here is hoping for a birthday baby.

So I'm in the TWW now, I guess. I still need to confirm with temp rise but I'm pretty sure I either O'd during the night last night or during the day today. We had great timing I think (0-3, O-2, 0-1) so I am optimistic! I have a very busy TWW so I hope it will fly by- my IL's are coming today and staying through next Tuesday (thank you O for coming when you did and letting us stop BDing!) and then I am going on vacation next Wednesday.
Sooooo.... what you do? I am trying to decide if I should pack a FRER with me and POAS while I am away- (my parents will be traveling with us but we will be in separate rooms)- or hold out and test when I get back. I will leave on 7dpo and get back on 15 dpo...
nectarine / 2148 posts
@travellingbee: I would say bring one with you just in case. You could either be so busy you won't even notice it is there, or it will drive you crazy if you want to POAS, but didn't bring one with you. I would though make sure you aren't trying to test too early if you are one that gets disappointed by seeing BFN from testing too early. That could put a damper on your vacation.
I just noticed that we are POAS buddies
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@Eko: Yeah I might just pack one, for peace of mind. (I guess I will need to pack tampons too ) My LP was 13 days last cycle so I am thinking that testing around 12-13dpo would be OK. With my LO, I got a BFP at 10dpo but I'm hoping I can hold out a little longer. How many dpo will you be on our POAS day?

question: does anyone else get nausea from prenatal vitamins? i have been getting these INTENSE waves of nausea that are really unusual for me. i always feel a little gross right after i take it but i just literally felt like i was going to throw up on my keyboard and then it passed as quickly as it came. and that is about 4+ hours after taking my pill. just not sure what else it could be.
@travellingbee: i would totally bring one or two with me and test while away. i don't think i'd be able to wait until i get back!

@travellingbee: Woohoo! Best of luck! Definitely bring the FRER with you!!

@loki: I do get an upset stomach from regular prenatals so I take gummies....
Thanks, everyone. I guess I will pack a test. But I want to try to enjoy my trip and not obsess so I'll just bring one!
kiwi / 631 posts
@loki: I used to get nausea after taking multi vitamins. Then I started taking gummy vitamins, and they didn't make me nauseous. I do take some pill form vitamins now, but I eat something with them, and they don't make me nauseous.
@travellingbee: I would bring one or two, just in case. And try my hardest not to use them.
persimmon / 1165 posts
@loki: You should eat something with them. I used to get nauseous too but switched to the gummies.
pear / 1787 posts
ok good i'm not imagining things then! my normal vitamins used to give me an upset stomach but never the nausea i have experienced the last couple days. insane. hope it's not a bug! i definitely plan to switch to gummies... wanted to try to finish this bottle cuz i'm cheap. but i might need to make the switch sooner!
nectarine / 2148 posts
@loki: I get violently nauseous from normal prenatals as well. I did do gummies for a while, but they are expensive and not as many in a bottle. Instead, I chop the normal prenatals in half and take it twice a day instead. And always take with food.
@travellingbee: I will be about 13-14DPO on 8/3. My last two pregnancies/miscarriages I never saw a BFP until the day of missed AF. Since this cycle I am using OPK's, I learned that I O'd a day or so earlier, and figured that I can go a day up. I've heard lots of people seeing BFP on 10DPO, but that completely wasn't me and plus lines get so faint that I struggle to even convince DH that there is a line there, so I tend to wait. haha.

@MissLace: Oh man, your puppy is ADORABLE.
@lilyofthewest: Thanks for the info re: pre-seed vs. c+p... I'm thinking about hopping on the lube bandwagon if it doesn't happen this time around, but I haven't done any research about which to use. I suppose if c+p works for you this month, then I'll definitely try that one first!
@auggiefrog: Yay for remodeling kitchens! We had orange linoleum flooring and avocado green appliances before we redid ours - still makes me shudder to think about it!
kiwi / 631 posts
@raspberries: We had carpeting from the 70's, which was just nasty, yellow countertops and a drop celling covering a damaged celling. We pretty much gutted the whole kitchen, but even incomplete it looks so much better, and is so much more functional! I want to go back in time to understand why someone would put carpeting or orange flooring in the kitchen. Or slap these people. Okay, really I just want to slap the senses into these people.
pear / 1955 posts
@auggiefrog: I know, right? We stayed at a B&B on our honeymoon that had shag carpet in the BATHROOM of all places - they just went crazy with the carpeting in the 70's! The good news is that your kitchen will be absolutely amazing after what you had to deal with before, haha.

@loki: I get violently ill from vitamins, and did a lot of research before choosing my prenatal. I take Garden of Life Raw Prenatal. They are well known for being easy on the tummy. The best price by far is on Amazon.
kiwi / 673 posts
@loki: I also get nausea with prenatals. Eating something small has seemed to combat it, but it's still really annoying. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I thought it was in my head!

Jumping in this pool again!
CD: 3
# of cycles TTC: 3
POAS: not sure yet
Baby #: 1, but last month we got pregnant although that's just ended in a chemical pregnancy/early miscarriage at 5w1d
The plan: temping/charting, clearblue digital opk, lots of pineapple just after O, and possibly acupuncture.
I have no idea if I will o late this month or not due to the chemical. I've heard mixed things from other people so I'll wait and see.

I think I'm 1DPO! Temp shift this morning but I will wait & see if it's sustained tomorrow since we went out for drinks with friends last night & I was up late (could be a fluke). My entire fertile window progressed much faster this cycle than the last few (acupuncture? Lower stress? I dunno) so our timing was not as great because I was a little caught off guard. If I did O yesterday, then we only got O-1 and O because I wasn't expecting it for at least two more days. But then again, last cycle we hit o-4, o-2, o-1, and o, and that didn't get us anywhere, sooooo.....!

Thanks for all responses for which opk to get. Now I just have to wait until they get here to get ready to use them.
@loki: I used to get super nauseous when taking prenatals. I started taking them at dinner instead of the morning and that helped so much. Just an idea!

I think I am in the TWW wait now. I am pretty certain that my monitor missed my LH surge. THe past few days I have been getting sticks that looked very peak-like, but the monitor continued to read "high". This morning I had a lovely jump in my BBT by about 0.6 degrees. I just need to wait to see if the rise in temp lasts long enough to confirm ovulation. Fingers crossed. If I ovulated yesterday (CD17), then I am cautiously optimistic that the Femaprin (Vitex + B6) has been successful in regulating my cycle, moving ovulation up, and lengthening LP.
cherry / 133 posts
@angelachase: That is still pretty good timing. Fingers crossed for you.

I will de-lurk and say hi as an official cheerleader! I plan to join the September board, but right now just enjoying life (and wine!) Can't wait to see those BFPs roll in!!!

@angelachase: I'd think -1 and 0 would be great!
@Bigskygirl: fingers crossed! That temp jump is great!

Cycle Day: 1
TTC Cycle #: 1
POAS date: not sure. I'm still BFing so my cycles are not what they used to be... I'll probably POAS sometime end August if AF hasn't shown up before
Baby #: 2
Your plan this month: charting
Something exciting you've done or are doing this summer: we'll be visiting family in Berlin in September

@onthemove: So sorry for your loss. I wish you luck as you jump back into TTC. How long did you try before you got your BFP last month?

@onthemove: I'm sorry about your loss! Maybe you could chat with @simplyfelicity, she got pregnant pretty quickly after a CP I think. Good luck.
@HappyBluebird: @meredithNYC: @Bigskygirl: Thanks for the reassurance! I know we are still definitely within the window, and I have been telling myself all morning, it only takes once.
