Gained quite a bit. However, I also came off an elimination diet at the same time, so I'm sure that contributed.

I gained 10 lbs ... mostly it was because I continued eating like I was breastfeeding. Spoiler alert: that isn't a foolproof plan.

Well I got pregnant as soon as I weaned, so very poorly!
In all seriousness I was planning to be really conscious of it, because I did lose a good amount of weight while breastfeeding and eating everything I wanted (like I weighed 20 lbs less than pre pregnancy) and wanted to stay there. Not so much the case here though.

i gained about 10-15 lbs over the course of the 6 months between weaning and getting pregnant again. BFing got me down to my lowest weight since HS! i'm hoping to cut the calories next time in anticipation of weaning so i don't bounce up so high!

I'm actually worried about weaning for this reason... I'm the lowest I've been also since HS, so selfishly afraid to quit bf'ing.
Worst is that the 1-year mark for me (when I want to be done) is right around the holidays!

I lost weight while BFing - but had to watch my food, so it wasn't effortless...except for maybe the first few weeks! Then I hit a plateau around 6m Mark & nothing budged despite healthy eating (didn't quite have it in me to work out too)! When LO weaned at 13 months, definitely lost a little bit around the tummy that was stubbornly sticking around before that. I felt lighter than I had since LO was born!

I gained about five pounds, which was fine. Breastfeeding had made me a little too thin.

I gained about 15 of the 30 pounds I lost below my prepregnancy weight

I lost weight. I also didn't have the lbs melt off in the beginning of our bf journey either so I think I was one of the ones where prolactin didn't allow for the big drop in wt. I got my wt loss on the back end!

With our first I had lost it all. Weaned and went back to work at 5 months and didn't work out and gained 5 lb back. Lost it all when I stopped working 6 months later.
With our second I lost it all and a few more by 6 or 7 months. Haven't weaned yet at 10m pp.
I'm also one of those people that lose 15 lb off the bat but the next 15 come off verrrry slowly.

It didn't make much difference. It took me about a year to lose all the weight (about 60lb) so I was already at my goal when I weaned.

no difference. i lost half the weight during the first 7 months or so of nursing. then gained a bit back and even more when i back to work, even though i nursed for over 2 years.

I gained about 5 pounds around the time I weaned. it was around the holidays and my move/beginning of life as a SAHM (meaning no more 4 miles of walking due to commuting to my job) and miscarriages happening. I think it was a little bit of everything contributing, but they really stuck around even though I tried pretty hard to lose them.

I gained 5ish pounds... But I weaned in April. Got pregnant in May. Miscarried in July. Still haven't lost the weight. TTC now so I'm not trying toooooo hard to lose it.

I gained a bit because of not cutting back on breastfeeding calories and hunger. It took Weight Watchers to get it off completely. My body likes to hold onto fat postpartum. I'm going to do WW again post weaning.

@Mrs. Sunshine: I didn't wean until I was pregnant with #2 either! My body seemed to be holding onto those last ten pounds, so I was hoping I'd be the type to lose a bit after breastfeeding. I'm due with #2 next month, so it'll be awhile before I find out what my body does!

With my first, I lost a lot of weight BF, and a little more after I weaned. With my second, I didn't lose as much or as fast BF, and I've only lost a little since I stopped.

I finally lost the last 10ish pounds I couldn't when nursing. My body retains water weight like crazy while pregnant/nursing.
