Lo is now 12.5 months old and we have successfully moved from formula to milk....now we are ready to move away from the bottles. We are skipping the traditional spill proof sippy cups that have a valve since I have heard that functionally they work like a bottle anyway.. we have straw cups and spoutless cups and a few take and toss style that don't have a valve.
Lo knows how to use the cups. He can tip them up himself and he takes a sip or two at a time but then throws them down. He won't drink any considerable amount. He can't use the straw cup yet although we are continuing to practice...
So my question...did you just go cold turkey on the bottles? Can I trust that he will drink enough if he is thirsty? He is a really good eater, but I worry that he won't drink enough and will become dehydrated.
What worked for you?
